DT improvements?

So is it final that the Distaster Transport is getting improvemenst? And if so, what kind of improvements? I know that after riding it 10 times in a row last season it would be nice to see some change.

Cedar Point is the best. I will never stop loving it. You gotta, You wanna, You have to hold on...Cedar point hold on!! :) :) :)

10 haaa thats nothing, try 35! I had fun that day, I was so board. But the ride ops were great!
Well, the offical CP site says that it will have 3-D paint effects in the line areas, and that the actual ride will have a 3-D "starfield effect" while riding. You can even buy 3-D glasses also, if you want.

-----------------

I'm guessing that the 3-d will be the stuff from halloweekends. Although I don't really consider that 3-d. It was pretty bad in my opinion. I remember seeing little clear paintings on the wall in June last summer. I have a feeling they are "recycling" pharoah's tomb effects for DT.

3rd Shift Trash Removal - 2001

I just wish they would do something to it. People still ride the roller coaster and I still love it. I think what made me love it so much was the effects because it was like an escape from Cedar Point. I would remember exiting the roller coaster and looking out the window saying, "Oh yeah, I'm at Cedar Point." The coaster isn't a bad one but I would like the effects back

You are the Weakest Link, Goodbye.

OK here's the thing. All the effects (or most of them at least) are still there, and (may work) but here's the thing, they lost all Laser Disc that runs a majority of them, so only the ones that ran independently (i.e. the "I'm losing control" and the starlight type-thing in the "big room" still work.) on the other hand, the stuff in the queues like the big screen and the robots, that was all stored on (what was then the best technology around) ancient stuff now, and they have no way to replicate it without redoing the whole ride (which would be awsome!) so thats where that stands. but i am anxious to see what 2002 holds for DT!
Is this a rumor or a fact?

-----------------
You are the Weakest Link, Goodbye.

This is fact! From some very reliable people (DT ride ops) I was told this a few times, first when I had my "mini DT Marathon" and I also heard the same thing on these boards. So yes it is fact. From what I know.
Maybe they are chanign the "Mission". Kinda confused on how u gotta go outta space to get to what...alska? Or is it hawaii....I dunno/care.but it would be a nice twist.

I think they wanted to try to keep that "Avalanche Run" winter, coldness, snow theme in place, thats why they went with the Alaska thing, but to answer your question, you have to go into space, because you are carrying cargo, via this new form of transportation, and you aren't supposed to end up in alaska, you are supposed to end up on a different plant, but because of the space aliens and all that stuff, you land in Alaska. I believe thats why, if I'm not sure someone pleasae correct me.
No that not right, Because they say enjoy your trip to Alaska, at the beging of the ride(most sure where anymore, but I KNOW they say this)

Once you drop, the fun don't stop!

Actually, I thought that Alaska was supposed to be the original destination. I could be wrong, but I thought that the shuttle departed for Alaska...

OK, thats fine, I wansn't exactly sure, even though my username says I should know every & any thing about DT.
CP rules, yeah...I typed that when only dt4ever's post was on the screen so I didn't see yours. :) I think that it's pretty fitted at the end of the ride because once you stop it feel all cold from the air conditioning. But when you step outside and it's in the 90's you want to run back into the building. :)

IU shocks the world!

(and screws up 99% of people's brackets. :))

When I went on DT, the whole building (or queue line at least) had the rankest BO I've ever experienced. Maybe they need better ventilation.

Six Flags: Would you like that super-sized?

Oncoming riders, welcome to Dispatch Master Transport, please enter the shuttle quickly but carefully, blah blah blah.......sit upright hold on tight and enjoy your flight to Alaska.

Welcome to Alaska. Please put your arms in the air as your lab bars are releasing......blah blah blah

So yes, going to Alaska is the mission

You got sling shotted from CP to like a wormhole tunnel that flew you to space and then whipped you back down. It was suppose to be a quick and fast way to get to Alaska! Other than taking airplanes and fussing with security!!haha! Any way while you where in space, space pirates attacked and somehow you miraculously landed safely. That is if my memory serves me right!
