Drinking under age 21

Is it true that you can drink at restaurants and bars in Ohio if you are under 21 as long as you are supervised by your parent?

Does Cedar Point allow this or do they have a stricter rule?

No lectures lol, my daughter is legal in most of the rest of the world

I'm not a lawyer, but it is my understanding that ORC 4301.69 does allow consumption under age 21 if provided by a parent. That includes public establishments.

Cedar Point's alcoholic beverage policy, though, prohibits purchase or consumption by anyone under age 21. I think they publish that policy in their park guide -- at least they did at one time.

Yes Ohio law and some other states as well allow for a parent, guardian or spouse to purchase adult beverages for those under 21. The person providing the beverage is then responsible for the underage individual.

However Ohio law also allows a business or individual to refuse service to anyone. With that said most businesses will not allow underage individuals to consume beverages on their premises, this includes CP.
