Dragster's sign #2

By the looks of this http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=2204 and this http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=726 , the sign that claimed Dragsters record was not changed during off-season(you can tell by the way the words are placed). Which makes me wonder if there's still the possibility of it being changed with just 27 days to go until opening day. I just thought I'd bring this up regarding my related topic that got locked back in January because of an argument that had nothing to do with the topic. I'm sure it will be changed. Either to the Midwest's tallest and fastest, or just a TTD "Your Speed" sign.

I agree that it will be changed by opening day. They probably already made the new signs but haven't put them out yet. My guess is it will be labeled worlds first strata coaster or something like that.

I'd think it would be "world's tallest and fastest" until Ka is running. Worlds first strata-coaster sounds good, but they might say "first 420 ft coaster". We'll see.

EDIT: In my opinion, a coaster has to open to the public with intentions of continuing to run to be a coaster. If I say that I'm going to build a 500 foot coaster, is KK not the tallest? No. And is a coaster from 50 years ago that was taller the tallest? No. When Kingda Ka opens to the public, I'll admit that it's the tallest. No, it doesn't make TTD worse, but you lose some sort of vanity of saying "I've been on the tallest and faster coaster."

Good point until Kingda Ka opens they might as well leave the signs the way they are.

So what do you want us to do, talk on bad days. :) It may not be important to you but some of us like to talk about what the heck a dumb sign is going to say.
If you don't have anything to say about the topic, then just don't say anything.
Plus some of us don't always have something to do on nice days.

Yea, that's a good idea.

It will probably say the First Strata-Coaster and say something about a coaster over 400 feet tall under it.

And it will blab about the speed and 270* spin on the way down.

Hey I can give you things to do. My tires need to be rotated. The boat needs to be un-winterized, camper needs to be cleaned out and prepped for the summer season... heck, the lawn needs mowing too. :)

Some people just can't get over the fact that Dragster is no longer the tallest in the world. Get over it. Did anyone say that Dragster was not the tallest even thought it had many problems in its' opening year? It's not like Kingda Ka will never be launched over that hill. It is the tallest and fastest coaster in the world. Live with it.

If you're addressing me, I don't really care whether or not Dragster is the tallest. Personally, I'd rather ride Magnum or Millennium Force or Raptor than Dragster.

I even like Xcelerator better than Dragster.

I'm sick of you people telling me to live with the fact that Kingda Ka is taller. Sure its taller alright but lapbars don't hurt boobies mo fo's.

I am just hearing a lot of bitter resentment. Lap bars, OTSR's, who gives a bleep? No, it's not a good point, it's really a non-point...which is what it is. Actually, I was adressing MForce310.

Chill out, dude. There are better things on these boards, and in life to get upset over. Yes, OTSR's suck. Will people enjoy KK? Yes. Do people enjoy Dragster? Yes. It's really not a big deal. Does the fact that KK exists make your experience on dragster worse than it was last season? I doubt it.

Millenium Force is still voted the best coaster anyway so its not like Six Flags took anything away by building the new coaster accept for some title that Cedar Point had for two years. Six Flags also used the same design that Cedar Point did and they only made the hill what like 30 ft taller. At least go for 500ft if you want to start bragging(how do you turn a conversation about a stupid sign into an argument over Kingda Ka anyway fury?)

Records are made to be broken. I could care less, and the coaster boom has slowed down in recent years.

It would be great for CP to build a state-of-the-art dark ride with Disney quality. Maybe theme it to Peanuts, or better yet, bring back the Schwabinchen chick! ;) She should even be the new spokesperson for the park. Give Snoopy the axe and re-hire Ms. Schwabinchen! :)

Hay For the purposes of this topic Top Thrill Dragster Is the tallest and fastest until Kingda Ka Runs. Some of you people aggervate me it's like you read topics that you think are stupid and you try to start arguments. Don't you have any thing better to do than start arguments about spelling and different things.

Go cut your lawn, unwinterize your boat, and prepare your trailer for summer.
