Dragster's New Entrance Sign

CP Rundown on Facebook posted a picture of the new entrance sign. Thoughts? I personally am not a fan of it. I thought the old one was just perfect. A few comments on the Facebook post were commenting on the tire streak going up the sign and saying something along the lines of "Top Fuel Dragster's have bare tires and wouldn't leave treaded streaks like that." So what do you think?

I'm not a huge fan of the alterations but I'm also over it. And those comments about the tire tracks are a little ridiculous regardless of how right that fact is. It's just not something the general public is going to care about and it's simple enough for people to understand.

I concur. Liked the old one better, don't hate the new one enough to raise much of a fuss. :P

Looks just fine to me. I probably didn't stare at the old one all that much, but I don't find it to look all that different (tire skid or not).

I dig it! I thought for awhile they needed a new sign for Dragster because it was so plain and nondescript.

Dragsters are also not propelled by a hydraulic launch system that sends them 400+ feet into the air, they also do not ride on a steel track with a few dozen passengers on each "dragster". Based upon all of this I think that the tire streak not being accurately depicted on the sign is about as irrelevant as it gets.

It does kinda look like it fell over and someone ran the mower over it.

I don't remember the old one well enough to make a comparison...

I'm pretty sure all that has happened is that the sign was finally completed. The paneling was discovered in a partially obstructed crate near the engine house during the repainting process. What you have all admired for a decade was the best they could do until now.

I like the old version better.

That wire mesh on the old sign always got nasty - especially during spider season. The new one is going to look nicer more consistently.

The original was the best. Oh well.

I assume there is some way to screen capture the QR code animation that this sign relates to? I've seen the Valravn one posted somewhere on Twitter. It would be nice to somehow capture all these animations online.

I think the old sign drew more attention to the logo. This new sign doesn't do that as well. But I think it looks all right. I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

Oops, I thought the animation on his Twitter feed was a joke. Didn't realize it was the VR thing.
