Dragster Theme

So, you had your fun today...what do you think about the theme?

Personally, for Cedar Point, they did a great job on the theme of the ride itself. Of course somethings are not operational yet, but I think it was fine in it's incomplete state. The queue could use some major work. More trivia!! Tell us more!!

I really think the ride should have been themed differently. I think this ride fits the Aircraft Carrier theme better. Something like Top Gun?

Anyways, what a day. What a ride. What a launch!

Cheers!

Dragster rides: 1 (one down, many to go)

I think it would fit Top Gun theme, but Paramount already took that idea ;)

I went today and absolutely loved the ride. I cant believe they were only running 3 trains!! The line was sooooo slow! But it was definitely worth it.

GO RIDE THIS RIDE!!!!

The themeing on this ride is first class, and I think the Dragster theme fits perfectly. I was impressed with the attention to detail CP put into this ride, right on down to the Sunday! Sunday! Sunday announcement on the PA. For those of you who don't know what that means, there were some very well known radio ads for a local track that had the announcer saying that. The CP audio simulates that perfectly.

Florida may have Disneyworld and Key West,
but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.
It's great to live in Ohio!

The themeing on this thing is really really good. It still needs a little work here or there...aka finishing it. All in all though, I love the station and the look of the trains, and the grandstands are a really nice touch.

I was very impressed by the theming, even yesterday with some things not working. I am very proud of CP, they went all out on this ride.

Honest truth told to me by marina gate readmissions host:

Host: Hand stamped, two cents.

Me: That's cool, I think I have two cents.

Host: I better not take it, by the time you leave here its all you'll have.

What songs were played for this ride?

I loved the sounds of rubbing an engine that they were making while you were waiting to be launched. The rest of the theming was great too. I can"t wait til they finish the lights
They had a pretty darn good list of songs I thought (for Cedar Point and all...) I remember Radar Love by Golden Earring and Magic Carpet Ride... and I was sitting in the grandstands later in the day killing time and I thought I heard Crawling in the Dark by Hoobastank. Not positive if that was it or not however.
the bleachers are key! That just adds to it, and sitting there watching the launch, it really does remind me of going to the SpringNationals here in Columbus, watching the Top Fuel Dragsters! And the fact they put a concession stand underneath just adds to it.

I didn't go on the 4th or 5th :( but just saw a picture of the drag lights and they look really dumb. They almost don't look anything like the real thing!!
