Dragster Questions

What percent of the time on average would you experts say the Dragster is running and not running? Is it generally running at opening?

If the TTD is my families #1 priority should we head there immediately at opening (10:00 am)? Or is it better to get MF right away with a short wait?

Dragster is unpredictable. But if you see it testing at 10AM, get there. If you wait, it could go down, get long lines or both.

Thabto, did you get arrested recently? Renew your driver's licence? Anything like that? :)

Nope, I took a selfie with bad lighting. But now that you say that, it does look like a mugshot or a license picture. And I did actually renew my license at the beginning of this month, but that's not the photo from it.

It would probably be in your best interest in get Dragster in first thing. On days I want to ride it, I'll get in line at 9:45 during early entry. It seems I usually have a 20-30 minute wait total. So if you get there right after regular opening, it may be a 30-60 minute wait. If it does go down, you won't have invested THAT much time. Your odds with MF are better. This is all a guess on my part based on MY experience.

Out of curiosity, does Kingda Ka exhibit the same reliability? I don't frequent forums for other parks (but I ought to start since it looks like I will be visiting Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Kings Dominion soon) so I've not heard much about TTD's cousin.

It truly is an unpredictable ride, I would say you have about a 80% chance of it being open when the park opens and about a 75% chance of it breaking down (at least for a brief period of time) while you are in line. Chances for a major full day breakdown is probably closer to 20-30% if I had a guess. But again, it is extremely unpredictable, these are just the numbers I came up with based off of my visits.

Visit BGW. I may love CP and regard it as my home park and have alot of love for everything there. But BGW does everything right by what I want out of a park. Do the coaster tour, it's worth every penny.

KD, Ride I-305, Anaconda, Volcano, Grizzly, and call it a day...Seriously, my back is somewhere on hurler still, its been missing
