Dragster going backwards

Okay, I know this is impossible to do due to the structure of the trains and the possible high Gs this would pull, but just a thought. Would you be spooked as hell if the trains were turned backwards and launch through the circuit? I personally think it would be cool. You would get to look down 12 stories on Power Tower and as well as the entire right hand side of the park. And it would seem that the entire park is going away from you instead of toward you when the car is forward. What would you think?
It would be cool even though it isnt possiable
Impossible. The g-forces would be WAY too much.

Now what they could do if this deal with selling the trains to a Japanese theme park goes through is...

Why would it be impossible to do that. The only real high forces would be on the launch.

The twist would be way intense going that fast.

G-forces on that launch are what already? Now push yourself that fast away from the seat (instead of into it) with only a lap bar. Clearly imposible.

The ride does stop you in approximately the same distance as the launch. However, I don't think they would lauch you backwards.

Q: What does Top Thrill Dragster have in common with Walmart?

A: Rollbacks

Not impossible at all Mr. Rollercoaster. Yes its harder than forward but not that harder. Really all you would need is a shoulder harness and something to hold your head back.

I don't know about you guys, but I see Top Thrill Dragster go backwards quite a bit.

I don't know if your being sarcastic but we are talking about launching the train while the people in the train are facing the station, facing backwards.

speedfreak03, yes, you would need OTSRs and probably VERY soft padding on them too...

The point is that V Dogg thinks it would be cool to launch backwards...

Hey G-force experts... the thing does 1.5 G's. Wildcat pulls more.

If it were possible, it would be cool. But it wouldn't be physically possible to riders nor the track and train. The cable is only designed to hook on the train while it is facing forward. So this is more of a fantasy type thread than a realism one.

GOOD CALL JEFF!! FINALLY! I was reading the whole tread just shaking my head. Then I saw your thoughtful post. You are the webmaster for a reason! I'm glad I'm not the only one that knows that pointless trivia.

O and V dogg.....It's not fantasy it could be a reality. That is a simple task to take care of over an offseason. Just a little FYI

I have no doubts that the riders can safely handle the launch if the trains were reverse configured. I can imagine the train having more problems with rollbacks because of the poor aerodynamics.

Eddy the retard is awesome.

Understandable. But that COULD be dealt with! I WISH! LoL.

V Dogg...don't assume that it's not possible. Just assume that it's something that CP doesn't want to do. Don't think that it would be any more than moving the mechanics of the train around. I'm sure that it's possible. And, yes....it would be a fun time! =) The spiral going down would be fantastic! =)
