Dragster Crew Flying on 8/10!

I am making this post just to praise the Dragster crew tonight, and let you all know how well they ran the ride tonight.

The line moved extremely fast, probably the fastest I have ever seen it on Dragster (rivaling the lines of the rides like Raptor, WT, and Magnum). I got to ride in what seemed like no time, and the whole queue was probably clear by 11:30. That is Simply Amazing!

So next time you see someone on the Dragster crew, please let them know how much you appreciate their hard work in helping you have fun. They deserve it!!

Magnum XL-200 - The BEST Roller Coaster!

This is why Cedar Point was given the "best capacity" award by Amusement Today. They'll stop at nothing to let their guests have fun. I personally thought I wasn't gonna ride Dragster, but I did! And I thought I was only gonna get between one and three rides on Raptor. I ended up with eight!
I agree totally they were a little slow when they first went up but wow, they were kicking butt most of the day yesterday, it felt like they were running all six.

They were also running the system very slow when the ride had first opened, and they have been moving it up and up ever since.

Last time I went I was talking to an op in the station after waiting 7 hours (3 in the station) and she said that they have been bumping the system to run very fast, as of late, almost at 'max speed' with the sensors and everything involved, and that its been improving as the employees get more familiar with it. Aside from mechanical kinks, they have really boosted up the speed of loading/sending/unloading and everything else involved.

Props to the CP TTD team! :)

Yeah give the props to Patrick, Stephanie, Kristi, Owen, Justin, and Benjamin (DT and Wicked Twister, he worked dragster on aug 1st)

The dragster crew is the best, they are so awesome... the one day they were so nice when we were waiting out a four hour down time in the station... go to park operations next time you are there or e-mail park operations from cedarpoint.com to tell CP how good of a crew they have

Yesterday was probably the best I've ever seen that ride run. It was almost flawless. Being the smart person I am, I didn't hop in line, but I know that if I would have, I wouldn't have had to wait over 2 hours.
do you guys think that it will continue to have all of its downtime by 8/14?

Yea, TTD is going to open 12:32 on 8/14...It will close back up around 3:24 and be down for 2 hours and 14 minutes where after that it will reopen back up and have a short breakdown at 7:42 for about 34 minutes. After that it will run pretty good. Please check back for the 10 day forecast for TTD's operation.

Seriously, How is anybody going to know whats going to happen with TTD? It can be open or closed. Try going to miss cleo, Doubt you'll have any luck though.

BTW, Dragster crew is amazing. When i was there 8/6, The trains were flying. Only thing, They took too long to reset the blocks after a rollback. But the dispatch intervals were amazing. Also, I didnt get stapled once. So they definatly are doing a great job.

im sorry, i know that you cant predict the future, but you can make an educated guess off of the trends that have occured. i mean, if the ride used to be down a lot and is slowly not being down as often, then you can make a guess that the chances are good that it will be open.

You know, I can't understand why people get all pissed off when they get smart-assed answers. What educated guess can any of us make? If the people who own and operate the ride keep it running, they sure as hell can't predict it. That goes double for the rest of us that don't operate it.

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

Yeah I was there last night and I figured out they were running in the 45-50 second interval which was flying and they opened about 730 and stayed open til at least 1015 with only one minor 15 minute delay, and another 15 minute delay for switching a train from the transfer. Props to them all!

"i mean, if the ride used to be down a lot and is slowly not being down as often, then you can make a guess that the chances are good that it will be open."

The ride was open for afew straight week before my trip, and then it closed for 4 days (8/2 8/3 8/4 8/5) were the days I was there. So according to your "theory" the ride should have been open while I was there.

It wasn't..........

Morale: Plan to go there to ride the other 15 coasters and enjoy the food and park, and if Dragster happens to be open, then thats just the iceing on the cake.

Cedar Point here I come
~!~Augest 3~!~

gosh... that reminds me.

Im going to Cedar Point 8/29, 8/30. I hope I get to ride ttd so bad. Im from california so this is first time going to cedar point. I already made my plain tickets so im just HOPING that this ride is open. Well if this ride isnt open there are 15 rollercoasters and other good rides like the power tower and the sky coaster and mannnnnnnnnnny others.

By the way can someone tell me if they have freeway passes for ttd or not.

Also, Im sorry if this is off topic but i want a little bit of information on this ride.

thanks

Ty

No freeway, and Cedar Point's website will give you some info on the ride, and so will the search feature. Heres the stats--420 feet, 90 degree incline and drop, 120 mph, launches.
oh yes, you can see the steam coming out of my ears. my im sorry that i said was sencere and not smart alecky. im just extremely excited to go to the most amazing place ive ever been to and i want to prove my "cedar point isnt that great" friend wrong and i feel that ttd is an essential element in doing that. i enjoy the other 15 coasters and would go there even if they hadnt of build ttd, but i really want to ride it.

addition: that really sucks that ttd was closed for four straight days when you were there, i hope that wont be me.
