Dragster Cam fogged out

The dragster cam on the cedar point webiste is completlety fogged out right now. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/webcams/webcam2.cfm?chip=1

That"s wild. The view from the Pagoda Cam with all the fog is pretty cool as well.

Gotta love Sandusky weather. It is clear and sunny over near downtown right now. Completely different worlds.

That's nuts. You can barely see the base of TTD and barely see the top of Power Tower.

This shows how awesome the coasters are! there so awesome that they stretch through the clouds into heaven.

During the 2008 season I was a ride host on TTD. One morning the clouds were so thick that we could barely see the first catwalk on the tower. We test rode just for fun and it was incredible. When we reached the top of the tower, the only thing visible was Millennium sticking out of the white abyss. I have never seen anything like it in my life. It was almost like a dream. We stayed closed until the fog cleared because to operate with guests we needed to see the whole tower.

^^^^That's crazy, I would love to be on it in heavy fog.

I know this sounds weird, but why do they need to be able to see the whole tower? There are numerous rides where the operator cannot see every inch of the track, not to mention dark rides.

As we have seen with the fog/mist in Maverick's tunnel, it can also affect the rides sensors. I'm surprised they would even be allowed to do a test run in conditions like that.

Policies and procedures are different from ride to ride. We all know that TTD has a lot of roll-backs. In order to run a safe operation for guests, we needed to be able to see the whole tower.

Man look at the cam now..some nasty storm clouds headed towards the point..
