dragster???

can sombody describe to me whut was wrong with top thrill since it was built we went 2 years ago and it broke almost the entire time and my dad was in the locker so we didnt go last year but all info is appreciated thanx

It would take less time to describe what isn't wrong with it. Last year it was down the entire last month and a half of the season due to a busted part that CP apparently had to order and wait to get. Even when it's running it has periods of downtime. You just have to hope for the best when you go. It's an absolutely incredible ride, it's just so unreliable. Maybe someone else can give more detail as to why it's down so much. I don't know a lot about the technical end of it.

ahhh yeah it looks awsome last year we went i chickened out lol but i'm set on riding it this year but thanx for the info i heard it was belt problem too cuz when i was there the belt frayed and cut people not bad but little cuts

Yeah, actually it was a cable that frayed and gave a few riders some very minor injuries, but that's only happened once. It's down quite often for other reasons. Let's just hope that they've lined things out and it runs more consistently this year. You've got to ride it if it's running. Don't let the height of the hill scare you. It goes so fast that you honestly don't have time to look around or think about how high you are. The launch is the really intense part of it. Unbelievable forces on your body during the launch.

yeah i'm definattly gonna ride i remember i was so scared to ride magum 4 years ago then when i got off i loved it and i've rode ever coaster in the park and i loved it so i bet this will be awsome

how long do u uaully have to wait cuz man i've waited in some long lines for millinium[3 1/2 hours]

It all depends on when you go. Weekdays in May, it's not too bad. I've waited 3 hours before but that was when it first opened. I'm usually there during the week in early May and most of the time I'm on in 30 minutes, sometimes an hour.

dang that doesn't sound to bad i was waiting for u to say 3-4 hours i'll be going June 3'rd for 6 days so hopefully she'll be runing good

June 3rd shouldn't be to bad, a lot of the schools here in Michigan don't let out untill the second week of June. My kids get out June 14th. What do you know that is the same date as our first trip to the point this year, a coincedence, I think not. :}

man we have to drive 23 hours to get up there though but it's well worth the ride i'm going crazy waiting

We are only going for 2 days, the 14th and 15th, staying at Castaway Bay on the 14th. It is my Daughter's 8th grade trip. To bad it sounds like your leaving before that, my kids are 13 and 15, you guys could have hung out.

Yes, we stayed there last year for my Son's 8th grade trip, it's lots of fun. My Son and his buddy ended up going to Fridays for a late night snack, around 10pm, didn't get in till around 11, they had a blast, said the staff catered to them like they were adults, I guess it pays to teach your kids to be good tippers.

The longest I have even waited for Top Thrill Dragster and ever seen it was 1 hour and 45 min.

I hope when I go the wait times will be like that.

Well I was watching the funcoast cam and I saw it running really smooth

So it seems to be working great :D
