Rode Demon Drop many times AND on its' last operating day at CP. Its' 'sister' ride was 'Mr. Hydes Nasty Fall' at Geauga Lake. Rode that a few times. Demon Drop was very smooth compared to that one. I had heard that CP got that one to use for spare/replacement parts for Demon Drop.

You heard wrong, Mr. Hydes was cut up and scrapped. The drive, tires and some of the other parts were actually used to automate the transfer process on Raging Wolf Bob's.

I had a chance over the years to ride many of those 1st gen Intamin rides, including the original at SFOT, and I can say with all certainty that Demon Drop was the smoothest. Mr. Hyde’s was probably the worst.
