I need some frequent Cedar Point goers advice! I as well as the rest of my party are college students and we're already spending a good deal of our money on the trip alone. With the hotel package and gas we really don't want to be spending a fortune on the good in the park. We were thinking about filling a cooler with some stuff and leaving it in the car. Any suggestions? Would it be too hot to do so? What kind of food should I bring? And theres no way CP would allow us to bring food in right? Thanks for the help!
Cedar Point won't allow outside food into the park. We usually pack a cooler with lunch meat, a few cans of pop, and little packets of condiments. Take a loaf of bread, a bag or two of chips and a pack of Twizzlers and you should be good.
Just please don't be one of those that leaves their mess in the parking lot. It's disgusting, not to mention disrespectful.
Delivering the best since 1870.
If you have a decent amont of ice or ice packs the cooler will be fine. Just have plenty of ice. I've seen people picnic with folding chairs in the parking lot behind their vehicles. Like was already pointed out, just make sure you don't leave a mess. The amount of crap I drive past some nights on my way out of the park is just sad.
Empty bottles and fast food cups, sandwich wrappers, McDonald's bags, grocery bags of trash. If you are only going once per year it may not be as obvious but I've been there 8 times so far this year and there's always plenty of stuff laying around that doesn't belong (some nights more than others). Bread isn't any big deal if it's out of the wrapper because the seagulls will eat it but too many people leave their actual trash instead of taking it with them.
