Dollar Days @ Cedar Point - Labor Day Weekend

Not to be outdone by Kings Island, Cedar Point will be jumping on the Dollar Days bandwagon. The following items of interest will be available:

Food items include hot dogs, pretzels, ice cream, popcorn, Peanuts Straws, and Snoopy & Woodstock Sippers.
Game and merchandise deals
Nightly fireworks at 10 PM on Saturday and Sunday.
Dinsoaurs Alive!

The Peanut straws are pretty cool, if they are what I think they are. Dorney gave them away last year for the Trick or Treat with Dinosoars and my boy loves them. In fact, I was thinking about looking for them next time I was at Cedar Point for Labor Day weekend.

I think the deals are great! It's less I might pack into a cooler and have to haul. We just need a beer sale also! Now mind you-I'm sure CP(CF) is liquidating inventory(food,2014 dated items& other merchandise). Its a great way to make way for 2015 goods, and make $$! As long as the food is fresh(not expired)& hot-it's a great bargain. I'm willing to bet even the games will have a better chance of walking away with a prize.

I wonder if this is when they sell the pretzels that have been a box in a warehouse somewhere since May.

I just noticed on FB that Dorney will be including crab fries in its Dollar Days.

Too bad I will be at CP this weekend instead of Dorney. :-(

They can keep the crab fries, but I'm all in if they have the cheese sauce for $1. Get some of the fresh cut fries with the Chickie's and Pete's Cheese sauce, that alone is a good enough reason for me to head out this weekend.

Yeah, I've seen lots of hating on here about the crab fries at Cedar Point. I've had them twice at Cedar Point, and in both instances they weren't made the same as they are at Dorney. I had to ask for more seasoning.

Really? That is good to know as I have been thinking about giving C&P another try. I am very surprised that Dorney is offering them for $1 though, I thought they were around $8 or $9 at Cedar Point. I am assuming the $1 version would be a much smaller portion but still a huge discount off regular price.

I was at C&P Sunday and I have to say to service we had was excellent, no complaints at all.
