Does Wicked Twister give you a headache?

I think that WT is one of the most underrated coasters at the park but the last 2 or 3 times I have been on it, I got a bad headache where I actually had to sit down for a minute or two afterwards. I like WT but I was surpirised with such a simple layout and mostly straight track, how bumpy the ride has gotten. I am going to go as far to say that my last ride alsmost felt like it has square wheels on it. Anyone feel the same?

I cannot remember ever having a bad experience on WT; I agree it is rather underrated, usually a quick line, and one of my personal favorite rides in the park.

Having a negative ride experience on a ride that typically doesn't give you problems could be related to a number of issues that are not ride related. That said, they obviously noticed something that needs repaired or reworked on the ride in the offseason beyond typical maintenence.

I wouldn't say I've had a headache, but I always feel like my head is pounding for a few minutes after riding. This is especially true of taking several consecutive rides. I think it is related to the intensity of the launch to start the ride.

No..

Wicked Twister is a great ride.

It is one of the best rides in the front of the park !

The only time that ride has given me a problem was during Halloweekends two years ago. The ride op decided to be 'cute' and countdown to two and launch the train. I wasn't paying attention and slammed my head into the support.

I love the 2nd to last seat on the right. the view you get at the highest point is breathtaking.

One of my very favorite rides in the park. Does not cause headaches or other problems for me, just lots of fun.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

nope. But corkscrew does ;)

4 summers of employment in ride operations does stuff to you.

No. Wicked Twister is also one of my favorites. It does not give me a headache. My only bad ride on it was getting stuck for about 20 minutes just in front of the station because someone tripped the IR safety sensors. They should put a cage in front of the guests waiting on the platform as with Face-off (KI).

Corkscrew can give me a headache too sometimes. It also screwed my back up some number of years ago.

Peace, Mikey

Mikey - are you sure it was "someone" and not "some bird"? A bird flying through the station can trip the sensor as well and cause the same e-stop.

Goodbye MrScott

If the wind blows a leaf through the light curtain, it will ride stop. I've heard it go down for wind, a butterfly, and a bunch of other crazy and stupid things tripping the light curtain.

As for the wheels being square, I sometimes wonder that myself with how many they went through last season.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

I love WT it is one of my favorite coasters!

I've never had a bad ride experience and love the third seat from the front. The thrid seat from the front offers the straight up and straight down effects on the spikes just like the front seat without waiting a ridecycle. The ride is kind of underated because it offers a thrilling and powerful launch and a fun layout.

During my trips in June and July I would marathon it for hours. I alternated MaXair and WT and rode both about 4 or 5 times in an hour which was awsome but did cause a little headache, but a ride on TTD took care of that!

Wicked Twister is the best double-twisting steel impulse coaster in the world!

Over-rated.

You go up each peak like 2 or 3 times at most. The ride itself is pretty cool yeah, but the twisting of the spikes does knock your head around a fair amount.

And you need to sit in either the very front or very back to make it even worth the wait

In other words, Maxair all day yo

Wicked Twister is my favorite ride in that section of the park. When I'm in that area since the line wait isn't that long, I like to marathon it at least 4-5 times. So the answer to this question is NO!

Could have been. In actuality I do not know what tripped it.
