Does the 12E on DT mean anything?

I must have walked by that ride a thousand times last summer, but I never really thought about the huge "12E" symbol painted on the side of it until I was looking through the GTTP pictures section. Does it have anything to do with the theme story, or is it just random letters and numbers... and if so, why did they choose 12E? I doubt we'll ever know the truth, but theories are accepted.

Old "urban legend" that it is Mr. Kinzel's shoe size. Who knows with all the "inside" things in that park like train names and such.

I never thought to look at the mans feet when I talked to him last season.

I heard 12 is the 12th letter of the alphabet (L). 12E = L.E. and L.E. stands for Lake Erie.

I'm a beleiver in the Lake Erie theory. I'm with Red Garter Rob, I didn't think to look at his feet until after I talked with Mr. Kinzel. He's a very nice guy too by the way...

Anyone have a list of all of Cedar Point's coasters?

What build number was Disaster Transport, either as Avalanche Run or as Disaster Transport?

I suppose you could make the claim that it was the 12th (as AR) adult coaster built at Cedar Point, with the 'E' standing for "Enclosed". This is pretty much numerology, though.

Here is the roller coaster list:Blue Streak,Raptor,Wildcat,Iron Dragon,Mantis,Millennium Force,Mean Streak,Cedar Crrek Mine Ride,Gemini,Woodstock's Express,Junior Gemini,Magnum,Corkscrew,Disaster Transport and Wicked Twister.And Actually the 12th coaster is Mantis.

...not of all time. You could Go with Switchback Railway, CP Cyclone, Leap the Dips, Racer, Jumbo Jet, etc.

It's probably meant to be a gate letter and number for a space port like in an airport.

I thought two years ago with the talk of the "Boardwalk Project." That it hinted at 12 years later to expect something new there. This still holds true with the addition of WT. It's kind of fun trying figure what it is though.

12E = L E = Lake Erie is also one that made sense.

The 12 means it was finished on the 12th day of the month at 12pm and 12 minutes and that Gorge Bockeling's necksize minus the necksize of the late Chris Farley equaled 12 so he said what the hell!!

..The E stands for the middle initial of Dick Kinzels late dog coasty and also for the fact that when he was thinking of something to put up there he happened to see a visible "E' staring back at him from a report card that his great aunts daughter mildred received back when they were building Avalance Run....

There ya have it..now ya can quit worrying about it ;)

Kinzel is a pretty short guy. I would be really surprised if his shoe size was 12E.

That doesn't mean anything... I'm almost his height and I wear a 12.
