Does or doesn't belong at Cedar Point?

Is there, in your opinion, anything at Cedar Point that is a waste of time to have there or doesn't belong there anymore & should be removed from the park?

Also, is there anything you think should never have been removed from Cedar Point?

I don't think Paddlewheel Excursion should be there anymore. It was good & corny back about 20 years ago, but, it's served it's purpose. It's not the same as it used to be. Demon Drop is out dated to. When Power Tower came along, Demon Drop became, kind of, obsolete. I know people still ride it & like it though.

I also believe that the Fun House (upside down house) & Rotor should've stayed. I think their both classics, just like Cedar Downs.

I know you will probaly disagree with me on things that should be removed. I also understand rides come & go all the time. It's necessary for new rides to come about. This is just my opinion. What's yours?

...Lord, everything at Cedar Point has its place. It kills me how some people want the park to have roller coasters only. It would be nice for enthusiasts but not for the park. Different people have different tastes in rides. Everyone doesn't want to ride Magnum, so the park has other rides to occomidate them.

Well I have always said that I wish they would have kept the Pirate Ride. But Im sure they had their reasons.

There are 24 hours in a day, and 24 beers in a case. Coincidence?

I agree with the Funhouse. I wish the Sky wheel (double ferris wheel) and Sky Slide were still there. They were both unique in their own way and I was very attached to both as a kid.

...nobody said anything about wanting only rollercoasters. In fact, no one has mentioned a rollercoaster (unless you count Demon Drop). Take a chill pill.

As for me, I wouldn't mind seeing them take out calypso and adding a nice huss over there or something. Just my opinion though.

As CP builds I can see PWE leaving. It was nice when there was more trees and it looked like you where off to a different place. They down sized on the boats the old ones where great. Now as you ride you see other rides all over it's not the same. I can see them filling in the lagoon shortly after also.

Demon Drop- Free Fall
Power Tower- Compressed Air

They have totaly diffrent feelings

I love Um' Bothe Keep them both!

How can you tell us how Demon Drop is outdated, but you want to bring back rides that by todays standards are nothing more than county fair quality? You can't make a double-standard for rides. Demon Drop was an absolutely amazing ride when it opened, and still gives a feeling that no other ride has matched.

Well, I would say the same for any new ride someone would want to put in just because they think another ride is, "boring."

When Demon Drop first opened. I thought it was an amazing ride. Now, I wouldn't miss it if they removed it.

I think CP should keep PWE. I agree that it doesn't have the same charm that it used to have. However, it does provide a nice break.

Well I agree that PWE should still be kept around, and since that's my place of employment next season I'm glad that it is! :) As for Demon Drop I rode it for the first time this past summer, and it scared the hell out of me. And I've ridden Power Tower. The fear you get on Demon Drop is intense. Waiting for your turn to climb the tower and to drop is incredibly tense. I don't know...I liked it and am glad that it's there.

I hope they move her to CP's 'Michigan Adventure' park in Muskegon. Cedar Point has really been building and adding on to this park like crazy. Last season they added a smaller 'Corkscrew' coaster. I have always enjoyed Ms. Schwabinchen's 'display'.

I like PWE because it still has the scenes and the cool jokes from the captain. You also get a nice view of the roller coasters as well.

I say they should remove Turnpike Cars and Calypso. If they do they have plenty of room for a new Thrill Ride. Cedar Point has 3 car rides and Turnpike Cars is the smallest of the 3.
