Does Maverick go down a lot?

I havent been to the park in 10 years so yesterday wasy first experience with Maverick, which my husband and i both loved. We decided later in the day to ride again and the line really wasnt bad, about 45 minutes. When we finished our cycle the ride went down and we were stuck on the tracks for about 15 minutes, does this happen often on this coaster? Just curious.

Last year it broke down when we were in line waiting to ride it for the first time and the same thing happened as you just described. One of the trains was stuck out on the tracks just outside the station. On a separate trip I managed to ride it twice back to back during ERT one morning without any issues.

So far this year aside from preview night, when it was not scheduled to be open, I've been to the park 3 times and have had 0 rides on Maverick. It was closed for mechanical reasons every time I checked on it. Others here have reported having multiple rides so far this year.

It's an Intamin, so I'd say yes. :)

Maverick seems like it has pretty good reliability. I don't see it down for mechanical too often. However, that being said I did get stuck outside the station, in pouring rain for about 15 minutes. I think that was '07.

Sure does. Goes up a lot too. It even TWIIISTIES a lot.
Stops a lot too.

And up until this year, hurts my neck a lot as well.
