I am just curious, does cedar point have a height limit? I mean how high can they go before the state of ohio says no more? Or can cedar point build as high as they want? I've never heard the answer to this and im not sure if cp has a restriction because they are on a peninsula. Hmmmmmm. Any answers?
I'd bet IF there are any restictions, that they have to do with flight level limits for planes and jets. Just a guess on my part, but I'd think the park could get waivers for that.

From what I've heard, the airspace over the park isn't a no-fly zone... but any aircraft that flies over the park must be a certain altitude above the park's highest structure.
At one point, I was told that it was a minimum of 200 ft above the highest point, (so 620 feet), but I haven't ever seen any concrete evidence that can confirm or deny that.

I don't think there are any height restrictiong for the rides. Obviously some people are just too tall for rides. At 6 feet, you begin to feel cramped on some rides. I'm 6' 1" and rides like Iron Dragon and Corkscrew are snug and I struggle to get in and out of the deep seats. Sometimes I find myself nearly crawling out.
Some rides have to leg room for tall people. On Cedar Creek Mine Ride, the op got mad at me because I was crossing my legs because my knees are above the seat level when I sit.
So, if you're over 6 feet tall, expect some space issues. If you're quite a bit over six feet, you're going to have trouble on a lot of rides. The coasters where height doesn't really matter are Raptor and WT. You have to be Shaq to not fit in those.
Did you even read the question rathofdoom? The question was about height of the rides themselves.

There are no restrictions unless the city imposes zoning restrictions.

Many parks around the country have restrictions due to airports being nearby or picky neighbors. KBF has noise restrictions, I'm not sure on that though. It makes it where many of their rides need to have sand in the supports or track spine to take out the sound. Silver Bullet and Xcelerator are examples of this. Cedar Point's location makes them have a lot of exceptions to those kind of restrictions. Being on a pennisula in a lake doesn't have many restrictions since there's nothing by the park. Pretty much CP has an almost perfect location for an amusement park, until you get to limited space to build outward, but that's another issue.

I don't know how many times this topic has been brought up. LOL, ride height restrictions. That's what I thought it was at first.

Well this is on hieght but way off topic. Can you be too tall to ride MF or TTD like if your too short?

I imagine if you were freakishly tall, you probably couldn't fit in the seats. Corkscrew's a job to get into for me at my height, I can only imagine being like 6' 8" and trying to ride. I don't think you could at that size.

Vince: no. You have no idea what were talking about.
I've seen a military plane over the part about the hight of TTD and then go lower and turn twards SKY (Sandusky Airport).

I can't imagine planes being able to fly lower then the coasters legally. I thought planes have to fly at a certain height anyways? I'm not sure of the height, but I'm pretty sure they can't be a few hundred feet off the ground and just fly around where ever they choose.
