Does anyone here have a boat in the Cedar Point Marina?

I am just trying to get some thoughts on how you like the marina and amenities. Trying to decide wether to put a boat there next summer. I am a bit far in Chicago - but I hate the hotels there and usually try and go 2x a month during the summer months. Plus the marinas are 1/2 to 1/3 to Chicago prices.

Everything I have seen and the people I have talked to have said the marina is a terrific bargain (relative to all other CP lodging options) and a fun place to stay with a late night party atmosphere.

I haven't personally done this since we usually RV in camper village but I have had a few invitations to marina parties after the park closes, though I've never been.

I would like to go to a party on a boat in the cedar point marina. would be fun. i talked to a lady that works at cedar point who lives on her boat. all summer long in the marina and loves it

The CP Marina is one of the best on the Great Lakes. So, there's no question you should look into it.

However...be aware that just like high school, there are cliques and clans that stick together (the party group, the quiet group, etc.), so make sure you ask the "social" questions when calling them. Some of those people can be downright vicious!

I've had my boat there for a number of years. Beautiful marina and very nice amenities and perks. I highly recommend it.
