Does anybody care about the WT??

I have't seen anybody post anything in the WT thread...Its been kinda dull around here. Does anybody even care about the WT?

It's school... all us kiddies are busy right now :)

But anyways, as Jeff reported, WT is now running full strength. That really was the last bit of news that anybody really cared about, wether or not WT would ever return to its former glory. Now it is back, and really there's nothing to do but sit back and enjoy your ride :)

Look at Millennium Force. No ones posting about it there but it is one of the best rides in the park. I just rode WT for the first time on Wednesday, and all I have to say is WOW. That is now my #2 coaster behind Millennium Force. Just because no one is posting about it doesn't mean no one cares.
All think that the discussion has all become focused on next year's addition.

Whats there to talk about?

We all know its a great ride, even if a 12ft crack appeared in the track or something crazy like that happened it probably wouldn't get much press. I just think that a lot of people were upset that it has been down so much this season, and hopefully it will be modified over the offseason and it will be running on a regular basis next season. Considering its the 2nd tallest coaster in the park and going up the rear spiral in the back two seats is insanely cool, and the 1st launch coaster at the park everyone is happy with it. The problem with WT now is that everyone here at GTTP and the enthusiast community (and slowly the GP) are ready to drag (pun intended) into the 2003 season.

Well, I really don't care about Wicked Twister myself. I have ridden it once, and that's going to be my last ride unless its a walk-on or something. Its not all that thrilling, nor is it revolutionary like it was made out to be.
I still think it once was a great ride. WAS being the key word...

I love WT and I think that if they fix the problems it can become a great ride once again.

I must be the only person that actually likes this ride. Ok, maybe it isn't a Millennium Force, but it wasn't supposed to be, right?
I like the ride, my friend loved it back in May when it was itself original intense self, but not as much after it was toned down. I still have to ride again now that it's somewhat back it its original glory.

After months of complaining about it not being full power and vowing not to ride it...i rode it. First time since June. Rode it 4x on Friday night, and I can say I'm still somewhat impressed. The 1st launch backwards is slow, but the rest of the ride is about the same. The 2nd lauch backwards isn't quite what it was though. When running full power, you would get a 360 degree rotation in the back car. Now it puts you just past 270 degrees. I don't regret not riding it more, but I can say that I have ridden it when not at half power and I still say "fix the damn ride!".

Also, I am almost inclined to say that the front is better than the back now. Under normal opperation, the back is still king.

Rode it for the first time saturday night. 0-50+ in less then 2 seconds, enough said. Anytime you get a chance to get launched from a dead standstill like that nothing else matters, throw in a couple of twists and that's a bonus.

Actually it's 0-50 in 2 seconds (speed on each pass goes 50,63,69,72,62 under normal operating conditions) but it's still a great launch nonetheless. Nothing like the one next year but still good.

I often find myself walking around the park and thinking "eh we have an impulse here, cool." We should feel lucky to be getting 9 million dollar filler rides :).

I think it deserves some respect but it is not the best ride at CP. I have ridden it about 25 times now and still love the sensation of the spinning. I think many people will not post on this topic because there are more important issues to discuss, such as the "Mystery Attraction."
I think Wicked Twister was placed perfectly in the park. It brought people over to an area, that without Wicked Twister, is dead. Considering the amount of space it takes up, it's a great ride.
I had too many consecutive rides(with minimal to no wait) on the first day of the season, and felt like I drank a fifth of tequila! I was a little scared of it but then when it was not running I started to miss it. I can honestly say now that I love it a little more each time I ride it. I've been lucky, and have never waited more than 15 minutes for it all season long. Great ride!
i love this ride, not as much as raptor, and it adds a new "twist" to cedar point's coaster line up.

i guess it's all personal preference. huh?

I too love the Wicked Twister (hence the Twister in the name). Hopefully they fix the foibles of it very soon.
