Do you wish Castaway Bay would do this?

Would it be nice if they would offer one day tickets to the waterpark? I would like to try the water coaster but don't really want to spend big bucks to stay at a hotel when I only live an hour from Sandusky.

no because then the water park would be filled with. . .people. . .

As much as I would like to get just a one-day pass, big profits would be lost if no one were to stay at the hotel. Plus, I think the whole idea for the waterpark was to fill the hotel in the off-season. Can't imagine many people stayed there during the offseason before Castaway Bay.

Plus, the waterpark facilities are just large enough to accompany a fully-booked hotel and not "outside" guests.

I always hate going to a water park to find long lines and a packed wave pool. The idea behind Castaway Bay is good.

Yes a crowded water park is not fun at all, Due to the extremely low capacity of many waterslides, the lines can get very long. I agree that it would be fun to go there for one day, but not if it was extremely crowded.

Coaster Count: 147

So,

Are lines short? I've always expected half hour lines to ride the waterslide.

In the future I wouldn't be surprised if they do some special, ticketed events for locals on days when occupancy isn't expected to be very high.

I think they have to see how business is going to go with hotel guests before they take that next steop.
