As a kid it was a big deal. It wasn't as big of a deal as a teenager because at the time I was just more interested in following girls around. Once I have a child of my own, there's no doubt in my mind that I'll visit the Orlando park.

No I don't miss it and quit asking about it get over it. I think GL's new water park is going to be magnificient and it's what six flags should of done to it in the first place. Come on up to Marineland in Niagra Falls if you want to experience sea world it's the same thing plus you get to ride some rides that have been there for 20 years or so, except for there new S&S Extreem Screem ride. Who knows when they will build another ride. Probobly in another 20 years.
Sea World is a great lose. I loved going there as a kid and even as i got older. but i was fortunate enough to make it there the last season it was open. oh and by the way six flags sucked that year.
The world looks better at 420 feet in the air... first ride May 14th, 2005
only 997 laps left on MF..
So i resurrect dead post... is that a bad thing?
Sea World holds a lot of memories for me. It was the only amusement park that my whole family would actually go to and enjoy together. My grandparents just are not into "world class thrills". All of the shows and the penguin exhibit and shark encounter were all favorites. We used to go every year until Six Flags bought the park. Since then I have been the only one in my family to travel to the park.
Don't get me wrong, Geauga Lake and Wildwater Kingdom is a great family amusement park with plenty to do for everyone, but I am afraid that there will never be anything like Sea World in Ohio again.

It's still fun to visit the park even though we lost Sea World. I really enjoyed the Whale show with Sheudka. That was the best part. I guess they thought Sea World Does better down south then it does here in Ohio. WildWater Kingdom is A lot of fun, I'm excited to see Phase II when they start construction again.
