The latest cedarpoint.com blog is about a new coaster show that was just taped there for the History Channel. It's supposed to air in Canada, but hopefully it will show here too. It seems like all the coaster shows that are on these days are re-runs.

I watched Extreme Rides or something last night at like 1 in the morning. It was way old. Superman: The Escape (MM) would have been the tallest and fastest in the world I believe. They showed Alpengeist as the inverted. Which is okay, but where was its predecessors? And they showed a slingshot type ride like Verti-go (sp?) but it was only 2 seats.
The guy that invented/created (I’m not sure) the sky coaster was on there talking about it. He said something about a 300 footer in FL. Where is that at? And he mentioned a 500 footer they have on the drawing boards. Think its going to happen?
"Ive got the need, the need for speed!"
Yeah, they were pretty old. That one on SFMM kept talking about the construction and grand opening of Goliath. Sure, watching those shows never really gets old, but it would be nice to have some new ones too.

That sounds so like 2000-2001 in that area. Why we are still airing those I don't know. You know whats funny is that when you walk into the shop by Top Thrill Dragster, they are still airing the worlds Largest amusement park. In one of the topics on here I mentioned that they should do a take 2 featuring Cedar Point. In this one they would go through how Top Thrill Dragster works and show the engine room. Maybe they would show how wicked twister runs, I'd really like to see MaXair in the second one. Heres another thing, how do they inspect the inverted coasters every morning? I'd like to see that on Take 2. That would be sweet.
There was a show on the National Geographic Channel that had Dragster in it. Its on this page:

Starting new topics is so complicated, with all those buttons to click and words to type....
Why not contact Travel Channel and Discovery directly and ask? That way you'll be sure you're getting accurate information.
