Discovery Channel

I remember seeing several shows on "thrill rides" on the Discovery Channel a month or so ago. I've now been to Cedar Point 6 times since seeing those shows (and will be visiting again on October 1st). Does anyone know IF / WHEN these shows will be aired again or HOW to get copies. Since I've ridden Matis (BIG BUG!) and fallen in love with it, I'd like to see those shows again since Matis was featured on one of them. Thanks!

THANKS!! :)
I used to be terribly fraid of coasters. (Blue Streak even freaked me out!) I decided to ride Raptor on 8/29, but chickened out when it was our turn to ride and did a "walk through". I had seen Mantis on the Discovery Channel and had told my boyfriend that I wanted to ride it, bur was bewildered when I stood below it. Anyway, I was so embarrassed and mad at myself for walking through that I made myself get on Raptor before we left that day. I had my rosary out and everything on the way up the first hill. I LOVED IT! The next day we hit Raptor like 4 times, Mantis 7, and Millennium Force twice. I was so "hooked" that we returned the following day! I teased Steve and told him that I'd become a "coaster nerd". "Whenever you see an ad for a CNA in the paper, you'll automatically think 'coaster nerds annonymous'!" I told him. LOL! :) I REALLY want to see these shows again and have been reading every TV guide that I get my hands on each week!

26 rides on the Force from August 26-September 7, 2000
Great Story, ML! I remember the first time I went on Magnum in '89, I was next to a guy that was praying all the way up the hill. His friends in front of us were laughing at him, and I asked him if he'd been on Gemini (trying to compare because Magnum wasn't too much worse), and he swore they'd never get him on that THING (Gemini) again! Too hilarious.

Hi everyone! i'm the steve milenium lady is talking about. its true. i created a monster. i never thought she would get so hooked on the ride. it is quite addictive though. whats worse is she likes mantis more than she does milenium force. i hate the ride. it is so unforgiving to males. especially those last two brakes. and to think we went on that ride 8 times in a row the week before milenium mania. ugh.
Hey! I offered to help keep the boys safe!! oops... this is a family forum, right? Just wait until the 1st... we'll hit the ole BIG BUG 10 times!!! ;) About me liking Millennium Force LESS... that is not true anymore. Mantis scared the crap outta me the last time we rode it, remember? It felt like the darn thing was going to STOP upside down, like it didn't have the momentum to keep going. Too much for me. I'd rather hit the force 20 times, get some major air time, than to be stuck upside down on Mantis. (aka BIG BUG, Mount This, Man-ti).

Hey Steve, YELLOW!
Off-topic... but Mantis isn't really that unforgiving if you adjust the seat to be lower until it locks (I think, I didn't have a problem). And, don't sit down!
Regarding Mantis, see my post under "Funny things said..." (near the bottom of the thread) about my good friend who forgot the breaks... "SEAT -- TOO -- HIGH!" I love Mantis, but it just scares you when there aren't enough people on the thing to get that mometum going down the first hill. Those stupid breaks kick in and kill what little momentum you got and it feels as if it might stop at 4 differant sections of the ride. EERIE!
