Disaster Transport Re-Theming

According to www.screamscape.com/cedarpoint (scroll to the bottom) it says, "2014 - Disaster Transport 2.0 - Rumor - (2/10/12) A very interesting rumor has come in regarding a possible upgrade proposal being worked on for Disaster Transport in the future. Ouimet did state that the company wanted to focus on having more attractions that families can enjoy together for years to come. Disaster Transport, always rumored to be possibly removed for being so tame, is actually the closest thing Cedar Point has to a Space Mountain style experience. The huge expense of enclosing the ride was done years ago, so there may be a plan to really renovate or completely rethemed the ride with modern effects, making it a well rounded enjoyable family coaster for everyone to enjoy. If you need a proof of concept, just look at how much more popular Disneyland’s Space Mountain became after they upgraded the effects and added on-board audio.
If true, look for this to possibly happen as early as 2014."
