I am 6'5" and 250lbs and have only some collarbone discomfort. No real issue with breathing or anything.
It will be nice once they do adjust all of them though to stay loose.

6' and 190 lbs. Only noticed pain around my collar bones after about six back-to-back rides during the first GK ERT this season.
I have started holding the harness away from my shoulders at the start of the ride as suggested above, does make it more comfortable for me, but I have not had as severe an issue with the restraints as some are reporting. Still like them much better that the head-banging specials found on some of the other rides.
Maybe I can be of some assistance. I can confirm that the discomfort with the vests is being taken care of. They are modifying the vests so they do not lock during the ride. Think of the way they stretch in the station. If you're lucky, you might ride in a seat that has already been modified. I know of a few that have already had this modification, hence why I can tell you guys this information. It's a great improvement to the overall ride experience!
I sure hope so, Corkscrew Headache (love the name).
I am concerned about the longevity of Gatekeeper, though, with its vibrations and rattling issues it developed quite quickly mid season. It seems like it's already 20 years old at times and its only the first season. I hope they are able to straighten it out, otherwise, it would be extremely difficult given where they had put this and incorporating it into the entrance. Maybe they should have gone with something tried and true since its in such an important and integrated spot instead of taking a chance on a new design.

Does anyone know which seats have been modified? Or do they vary from train to train?
I haven't been on it since CoasterMania, my husband and I didn't notice a problem when we rode it, but that was in the beginning of June.....
Cedar Point, Americas rip- rockin', high flyin', sky defyin', record breakin' roller coast
They vary from train to train. I didn't notice any particular order. If you want to try it out, ride train 3, the one with the gold color seat backs, right side, rows 2 and 4 on the outside seat.
Yeah I had this problem. I've road about 16 times now..so kind of learned how to ride it. Which a guest shouldn't have to do. It's really only fun and not rough in the Front or very Back. In the middle it's really loud for some reason. And if you have it to lose the G's pull it down and make it worse. I had one ride where I literally had to hold my breath cause it was suffocating me lol. It is definitely fun, but needs restraint work and I wish they did something else with the layout after the dive loop after keyhole. For some reason it get's really loud and you go slow and that's when restraints get worse going around the Helix. But when seats are good and I rode in front. Was for sure a great ride!!!
Tony Clark just Tweeted...
"@TonyClarkCP: BTW, for those who asked, your ride on #GateKeeper should be even better now. #vestapalooza"
Sounds like they've done some more vest work this week. Great news!

We had 4 rides on GK tonight without the cinching down vests, they remained loose. We rode all three trains in rows 4 and 5. Was nice not to have to get sore arms trying to hold the vest away so I can breathe at the end of the ride. A lot of fun! The lap bar part still cinches down as you go, but this didn't really bother me, similar to how Maxair will tighten after she starts up. By the way, it was literally a walk on all four times and much of the train was empty.
As for roughness reported here, I did notice it more on the 1st drop outside seat (not so much inside) and on the big corkscrew. Everywhere else it was no more rough than Raptor though not nearly as smooth as on media day.
Thank you Cedar Point for fixing the vest problem! We had 4 very enjoyable rides tonight.

I still find Gatekeeper very smooth! The vests were the only thing that I found discomforting, but I'm glad they made the adjustments over the week and hope to ride it on the 14th(My Birthday).
Four rides on it last night, two LH and two RH side three of the rides were smooth, last one was pretty rough. Have to start paying attention to which trains I ride and what the experience is. On all four of the rides it appears that I had seats that had been "adjusted" as the vest never locked.
Rode GK 3x on Friday (2 front right and 1 middle left) and all rides had loose vests. Also, each ride was very smooth.
I had the *best* rides ever on Friday in the front with the loose vests. You can lean forward and really get a whole new sensation while riding. The inversions are fantastic when you fall into the restraint. Overall, GK moved up big time in my top ride list. My favorite rides of the night!

I was wondering if this was a topic here. The first time I rode GK was in July in the pouring rain (I'm not even sure why it was still running it was raining so hard!).
Despite the rain, that was the best time I've had on this ride. I don't remember the restraints being too tight at all, in fact I loved them and felt so secure, yet free. Maybe it was just the adrenaline from riding a new ride and in the rain because every ride since has been horrible.
I've rode both sides a few times and each time when I get back I'm begging for the restraints to be unlocked. So tight and almost claustrophobic when we get back like others have described. If there's ever a delay in pulling into the station I don't think I would ever ride again, that's how horrible it would be.
Good to hear they are being fixed, but I'm thinking I'll skipping GK at Halloweekends this year until all the seats are fixed. I last rode GK on Labor Day weekend.
Just fyi, I'm female, 5'0 110 lbs. My little sister is 55 inches and 60 lbs and has no trouble with her restraints being too tight. She comes back with extra room still, jealous!
I also have very painful rides on Magnum when the lapbar locks all the way down on the bunny hills. I don't remember having this problem years ago!
Why can't all the lapbars be like Blue Streaks? ;)
I rode yesterday (Sunday) for the first time since early June, and I just don't see what the rest of you are talking about. A couple of different rows in outside seats felt the same to me as they did early in the season. The non-locking vests were kinda strange though, as you definitely "fall into" them at a couple of points. Then again, I never had a problem with them originally.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
