Disappointed w/Breaker's Express

I just returned from a three-day stay at the new Breaker’s Express and returned home disappointed with the establishment to say the least. One would think that you would get some sort of perks by staying at a CP resort but that isn’t the case with Breaker’s Express. Why they don’t have a shuttle going to the park is beyond me? I was also extremely disappointed in the 3 ft. tub of icewater err swimming pool. I was shocked that a brand new pool wouldn’t have a heater and it’s only 3 ft. deep the entire length of the pool. These frigid conditions resulted in the warm tub ( I didn’t say hot tub because the water couldn’t have been more than 85 degrees ) being packed to capacity my entire trip. When I say capacity that includes tons of children swimming in it because only a polar bear would have dared to be in the pool.
I as not to impressed w/ the billing system. No one at the front-desk knew what they were talking about let alone doing. And for about the amont of $$ we pay don't you think they could have coffee in the hotel, SOMEWHERE!
Not to say the hotel itself wasn't nice. The rooms were spacious and it was very quiet but it's the little aminities(sp?) that help!

We found a little trick about the coffee, If you go to the Coasters restaurant next to Breakers Express and show them your card key for the hotel's doors they will give you free coffee. Its not anything major, but it does save some money. We were not entirely thrilled with Express either so next year when we have a two day trip (normally we only go for one day at a time, then drive home that night) we are going to stay at the Sandcastle Suites.

Me, screechnowl, and his friend Doug stayed at BE for Coaster Mania. I was not totaly impressed. Personaly I don't think that room is worth that much. Thats just my opinion though. The beds are cumfy though. Also my room had a nice view of the pool, 3 words, Bikinis are good.

What do you guys expect for that price, four star service? They do offer a shuttle service across the street at Radisson. Snadcastle seems better becouse you pay seventy dollars more for a room. Breakers Express is not for the super rich. It's for the ones who can not afford a room in Breakers, Sandcastle, or Radisson.

Yes, but the quality shouldn't be any lower for the price. Sure they can cut out extra aminities and what not but when you pay that much for a room you might as well add the extra $70 and stay at the Radison!

me and a friend hit brekers express 2 times with the weekdays in may price of 59 bucks, the last one was may 31, since then i havent had any weekdays off. i am an electrician for a mobile home manufacturer,so summers the busy season :( and i mainly only can do sat or sun after may,and then a weekday during the 4th,but breakers express wasnt too bad really for 59 bucks a night.
I found it most odd that Breaker's Express' pool is the only Cedar Point water attraction that does not have a lifeguard.

My sister and I stayed at the Breakers Express back in May. For $59/night we were VERY happy with the place. I wouln't pay the current going rate, though -- with a AAA discount the Radisson was cheaper last time I went out.

Still, when you're just looking for a cheap quiet place to stay, and bring food with you (I do), it's not bad at all if you go at the right time...

My $280 suite at Breakers Tower was beautiful.
Had a great view of park and lake with an enclosed screened porch/balcony on the 9th floor.

Coffee pot with coffee, living room, couch, two tv's two phones, dinette, bed room with two queen beds and a really big shower.

Best of all, I reserved it the same day we stayed.
