Be sure to stop by Guest Services when you arrive. They will give you a booklet that Go Intamin provided a link for. When you would like to ride an attraction, give the entrance host your booklet. They will give you a wait time that is roughly equivalent to the current line of the ride and some instructions as to where to go. Once the time they give you has passed, your entire party may go up the exit or alternate access entrance. The crew will verify your booklet again on the platform so have it ready. They will then have you board the ride ahead of guests waiting on the platform. Note that the ride hosts are not permitted nor trained to lift you. Be sure to have a person with you to help you if you should need it.
Some additional notes:
-You may only have one ride you are waiting for at a time. So you cannot get a time for Millennium Force and then try to get another time for Valravn before riding Millennium. Doing so would be like you got out of line and you forfeited your spot.
-Autistic and Mental disabilities have a slightly different wait time procedure.
-Due to the nature of some of our attractions, we may not be able to safely accommodate all disabilities. Some rides may require special arrangements to be made in advance to accommodate certain disabilities. The booklet and the page Go Intamin linked provides more information on these policies.
-All attractions are still subject to the Inclement Weather and Mechanical shutdown policies. In the event either of these occur, speak with the ride's entrance host or guest services for assistance.

Bumping this up, rather than starting my own...
I usually use a cane, but have to go to a wheelchair for my bad days, and not sure which one would be best to use. The cane would:
The wheelchair would be:
It'll be me, my wife and my 4 year old, so I doubt we'd spend the entire day, thus stamina shouldn't be an issue; but the chair would still be more convenient than finding a bench when needed.

My mother in law is in the same situation, take the wheel chair, and the cane. The staff is very well trained to deal with it. Towards the end of the day you may need to give the 4 year old a ride to the car.
Download the Accessibility Guide linked above and read it over. Cedar Fair parks are very accommodating, I can't think of a coaster that doesn't have a wheel chair lift or ramp. We recently learned you can even bring your Service Pony. :)
