I was at Cedar Point for the 4th of July. It was a perfect weekend and not that crowded at all. I think the hype with social media is keeping people away. What do you think? Thirteen of us went up Thursday afternoon and stayed at the RV Park. One of the nicest RV parks around. We went to the pool and hot tub all afternoon at Light House Point. We went to dinner and then went fishing on the pier and caught several fish. It was lots of fun for the grandchildren. In the morning the 8 year old and ups did all the major rides within the hour. Plus some of the twice! And we sent to soak city for the afternoon. We went to Bay Harbor for dinner and sat outside. It was very good. The next two days we did the same thing. We take the little ones on the rides in Camp Snoopy, Ocean motion, the sky ride, and few others are open early for them. Sunday we stayed a little longer (around 1pm) and you could ride anything within 15 minutes. They did an amazing job with the air show and fireworks. I think you should try Cedar Point anytime of the season. We had a blast.

I was there both Friday and Sunday solo. Stayed home Saturday to get caught up on yard and house work. I guess it had to be done.
I was there yesterday, not very busy at all. Longest I waited was 30-45 minutes. I think hyping up events just causes a negative impact. I think when they hype something up, most people will avoid the park because they fear it will be crowded. I'm sure this weekend was below expectations. I think I remember Matt Ouimet saying they expected record attendance this weekend during the interview with CNBC when NYSE was at the park.

We were there from the 2nd through the 6th, crowds seemed light to me although the parking lot was pretty full. The 4th was by far the busiest day. I know the lot by the beach was closed for the fireworks Friday and Saturday so maybe it was a bit deceiving. When we left Sunday afternoon I was also surprised at how far back cars were parked even though the lines were not long for the big rides.
We have been going to Cedar Point every year on the 4th for 4 years now and every year the waits for rides have not been as bad as I thought they'd be. This is the first year in over a decade that we bought season passes, our son is now old enough to enjoy the park so we have been going more often now.
To those that go frequently are there days anymore where waits are well over an hour for everything? I remember in the late 90's/early 2000's waiting 90 minutes for Raptor, 60+ for mean streak, 60+ for Magnum just about every summer weekend, heck Gemini even had 15 minute waits. Have we been lucky, or are there just so many more rides now that the crowds get more scattered throughout the park??
My friend and I went on the 4th, with absolutely NO intention of waiting in lines to get on rides. We knew it was going to be too busy, we're a little on the "older" side, so we didn't feel like waiting 1.75 hours to get on the Raptor. Plus, we're season pass holders, so we can come back anytime to ride. We wanted to be there for fireworks and all the fun stuff to do for the weekend, like the BBQ on frontier trail. It was so good! Had a great day. Was lots of fun.

Usually the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend is VERY crowded. Last year, it took 4 hours to get everyone out of the parking lot at closing. And some reported that they waited 4 hours for some rides. That's a day to avoid.

I went Saturday and Sunday. I hadn't intended to, but I was in town and thought eh, why not. I wasn't planning to ride anything with huge lines so I didn't care if it was that busy. But I was really surprised. I thought Saturday was just as busy as any other Saturday in the summer, and Sunday, the longest we waited was for 30 mins for Raptor earlier in the morning (stupid, I know, but my niece really wanted to ride it). We went back up front later and there was a 15 minute wait for Raptor and GK. It was such a great day, and the weather this weekend was perfect!
I'm disappointed that we had to leave at 5 that day because I'm sure we could have been able to ride a lot in the evening with minimal waits. Early entry really helps out though. Sunday we had rode in this order PipeScream, Maverick, SkyHawk, Millennium, TTD, Dodgem, Power Tower, Sky Ride (before it closed for wind), and Raptor all by noon. My next trip is going to be for the coaster campout, hoping for nice weather again like this past weekend.
We went three times over the last four days. Skipped GK ride night, we have been Gatekeepered out since the last one to be honest as my husband's stomach got upset and I started to get queasy after about 10 rides.
My husband and I left the kids at Marblehead with family and we went a couple hours Thursday night. Didn't ride much but longest was 45 minutes for MF. The BUGS were atrocious! People were coming back in the front seat just absolutely plastered, taking off their shirts. We were waiting to get on and a couple got on the exit and sat in front car and we were thinking bad decision! We saw the ride picture as it was our train and the woman's white shirt was black all over the front. We rode again and noticed nobody was getting into the front seats.
We went Saturday to Soak City, it got too cold for swimming so did Challenge Park stuff figuring the park was crowded. We enjoyed the golf and the go-karts. Challenge golf was fun but they should try to get someone out there to clean off the debris on the greens. I wish we would have skipped the go-karts as the line was deceptively long and it took a little over two hours for one ride for the kids and the grand prix for my husband and me. Unfortunately, we thought we'd watch the kids race and they could watch us. Never again unless it's dead. The waiting was painful for a line of 15 people. We rode a walk on Magnum afterward and saw the fireworks through Corkscrew which was kind of neat.
Sunday we ate at Tomo Hibachi in afternoon, planned on seeing some shows but regretted not going earlier as it seemed to be short lines or none at all. Raptor, WT, and Magnum were walk-on, MF was 30 min. We saw On Broadway and finally got to see Luminosity, both very impressive.
We are passholders so we thought it would be a good time to take advantage of doing other things at the park figuring it was a busy weekend.

We were there from the 5th to the 7th. The weather was great! The fireworks were very nice. We watched those from the hotel Breakers beach. I was very happy with our weekend there!
We were there sunday afternoon and evening. Not too busy but we didn't ride Millennium or Maverick or anything that looked to have a long line as we passed. We spent a lot of time just watching the kids ride stuff they liked and our youngest finally got up the nerve to do Power Tower. We finished out the night riding Blue Streak about 5 times or maybe six. We just kept getting on until they closed. The weather was nice, not horribly hot with a nice breeze.
