Dick Kinzel...

Okay, you are all going to probably yell at me for not knowing this, but it's only been about a year now that I have been a CP freak. But who is Dick Kinzel? Everyone on this site always talks about him and says he lives bihind DT, but that's all I know. So who is this guy and why is he so important to CP?

His office is in the park. He walks around the park. Pretty cool...I'd like his job..

Get with it or die in the process.....

I saw him on opening day. We were walking behind him when he bent down and picked up a plastic spoon laying on the ground and threw it away. Pretty cool that a guy of his stature would do that.

Well it is his park.... Wouldn't you pick up a plastic spoon if it was in the middle of your hallway at home? :)

MiLLeNNiuMRiDeR, good analogy. Of course, I thought of what I do in the mornings in my home. Now, My morning routine is to get up, shower, grab a small bite to eat then head out on my day.

Could you see Dick getting up in the morning, stretching, scratching, then going for the morning shower on Snake River Falls? Dry off on Millennium Force, then head over to the nearest Dippin Dots cart for breakfast?

front car 24/7.

That would be an interesting way to start the day.

Simply put, this isn't how most CEO's of public companies behave. The CEO of the last big company I worked for has his head stuck so far up his*****he could see his lunch.

Kinzel on the other hand is one of those guys who makes it a point to know your name. I hear him talk to analysts in conference calls by name. Heck, he knows who I am and stops to say "hi" when I see him, and I don't even work for him!

The guy is world class, and he sets the tone for the entire company.

Which makes the parks such a great place.

Now if only they would theme more.

I'm sure they would theme more, if they were a theme park... ;o)

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Kinzel after he sent me a letter last season after seeing my story in the Register. He remembers me every time he sees me, and as Jeff said, my name too! I saw Mr Kinzel at WTs Media Day and after he said hello and shook my hand my daughter asked me "who was that Mom?" I said, "that is Mr CEO of CP himself".
My kid's reply "whoa Mom-Im impressed!" :)
