I was saddened to hear of her recent passing. She co-authored the book “Cedar Point: The Queen of American Watering Places” and several other books about amusement parks. I really appreciated her and her husband’s research and writing.

They lived in my town, and my mother’s company used to have office space next to David’s firm, so I got to know them pretty well when I was younger. I spent a lot of time talking Cedar Point history with him, and got to see his whole collection, which was very impressive.

I’m saddened to hear of Diane’s passing. They were wonderful people who really contributed a lot to the preservation and documentation of Cedar Point, and overall Ohio history.

That’s very cool that you knew them. I never met them, but I certainly spent hours poring over their books.
