Surprised I didn't see this anywhere... Demon Drop now has gates preventing you from walking to the car. They are magnetic, not air, so they are not annoying. Anyone else notice this?
At the turn of the Millennium, there were signs. Was the something out there?... A mysterious force at work? Beyond words. Beyond comprehension. Beyond, beyond beyond… A natural force simply known as, Millennium Force. The future is riding on it.…
It's definately NOT the same. They also have three buttons releasing the magnets. One is on a pole in the middle of the platform, the other two are on an I-beam. Also, you can see that it has been changed. There are "footprints" from the old rails, and there are still yellow lines. *** Edited 5/9/2005 9:35:24 PM UTC by MForce310***

DT has recieved new gates where they had a chain blocking off the line from the load station. Another one is at the top of the exit staircase.

Also ,snake river falls has air gates now.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
^^^I noticed the gates then looked for other signs, but yeah, I'm observant.

DD also has new "For your safety, keep head and shoulders against seat..." signs posted below the antique "Left, Middle and Right" signs in the station.

"Magnetic gates" are gates that are on hinges and require the rider to open it themself. They are elctromagnetically locked. An operator unlocks them. Air gates are automatic, and an operator turns a switch and they open themself.
Air gates are "annoying" to me because the often take long and people shake them. And you know that with most air gates when you shake one you shake them all.
So where are these magnetic gates. So far, we know...
Demon Drop, Monster, WildCat, maXair, Power Tower, Chaos, Dodgem, Calypso, Ocean Motion, Cedar Downs. What else?
Edit: Added rides to list. *** Edited 5/14/2005 12:27:45 AM UTC by MForce310***

Power Tower. I believe PT was the first ride there to have them. I also noticed them at Chaos, Calypso Dodgem, and I think White Water Landing.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
There are also magnetic gates at Monster, Ocean Motion, and Cedar Downs. Also White Water Landing does not have magnetic gates. They have a gate that locks with a slidling lock.

Speaking of White Water Landing that broke down on Tuesday well I was on it. The first lift stoped working and the water on the other side empted and then their was a traffic jam and we had to be evacuated.
