In addition to Skyhawk, it looks as though the Demon Drop will be running as well when the park opens to the public in May.
"The ride has been up for sale, however, a buyer has not been found," Edwards said.
A similar ride with a different name at sister park Geauga Lake was for sale, but is being taken down, he said.
Some of the parts from Mr. Hyde's Nasty Fall are being given to Cedar Point.
I know some people on this site would be very happy to see it still there in May. Personally I never rode it so maybe I will get another chants this year.
RIDE ON, and ON and ON and ON and ON and ON...

Second ride down on Zone 1 was my big hint on what CP plans to do. :)

funny how cp said they wanted to sell it to make room for future expansion, it really doesnt take up any space at all, except 130 feet up.....
DD takes up more room than you think. The ride it's self is 66 feet in length (actually longer, that's the length of the brakes), but you also have to consider all the queues, grass, trees, electrical, sidewalks, and the large break area and parking lot in the immediate vacinity. I think it's safe to say a rollercoaster won't go there without some major remodeling, but they could easily build a another flat ride, shop, or restaurant.
There seems to be some major overhauls in store for the park. Personally, I love Demon and would hate to see it go. But it is now a one of a kind... and CP can't help boasting the One and Only's. ;)
