Demon Drop

I was wondering how does the lift grab onto the back of the car. I have been looking at the ride and cannot figure out how it works. Dave will probably have an answer for this.

That's a good question. It's similar to an elevator I think.

I don't know how it works, but wouldn't a 500 ft. Demon Drop be really cool?

(just so you know, I'm not trying to bring up a new topic)

The best kind of prize is a SUR-prise.

A 500ft Demon Drop would take up an extremely huge amount of room. The decline at the end that puts you on your back would have to be gigantic.

^NO.

A 130 or so foot one is just fine.

What's up with you guys and 500 feet. You complain about the 300 foot one having short seatbelts, you complain about the 400 foot one being to short, and you want a 500 foot ride. I love TTD, but the 420 foot tower isn't even my favorite part (the 120mph launch is). I'd be disappointed if CP were to build a 500 footer any way. You only do so much with height (ei: TTD), look at Blue Streak, it has small 85 foot lift hill and it produces a ride that is better than many coasters taller than it.

My ranting is over now, sorry.

You go Gomez Tell it like it is.

The chain dog, which actually looks more like square block with a small groove in the top, comes up under the main brake fin and lifts the car that way.
