You probably are sick of hearing these contests, but I and a couple of friends are planning a Demon drop riding contest of 20 consecutive rides. The date is July 21st, and participants will meet at the picnic shelter at gate opening (near the main gate). Let me know if you'll participate. The winners will recieve $20.00!
Two friends of mine, Scott and Jason (R.I.P.) and I did 51 in a single day back in 93...
And made appointments with our chiropractors the next day...

No offense, but I'm thinking that a Saturday in July you'll be LUCKY if you can get CLOSE to 20, maybe another day would be a better choice.

We were there last Saturday. Early evening waits were 10 minutes for Demon Drop and 20 minutes for Raptor.

Ouch! Rob was it 51 consecutive? That had to be killer! My friend Neil and I did 15 in a row last year and were already in enough pain to call it quits. Demon Drop is tougher than you think to try and marathon on.

We'll due to the complaints, why don't you just think of a time, and E-Mail me at Rniemi01@cs.com
We can get it all set then! We can also discuss the number in which the total consecutive rides should be! Don't forget to mail me
Yeah.. took a 30 min break for brat's and beer in the parking lot and got back on.. I think the break was at something like 20.. Killed many a brain cell since then.. kinda fuzzy..

Can't people plan these things on a day where more people could go and you could get a lot more laps in than 20!

Hmmm... I got yelled at for weeks about the DT80, yet nobody says a word about a Demon Drop 20... I'm noticing some bias here.
Not to complain or anything, but let's see some real action on this board. Gemini 100: a real feat of endurance and enthusiasm. All of the sudden we have DT80 and now Demon Drop 20? I mean c'mon why not 50 or something better than 20. The participants in the Gemini 100 went in prepared for a war and now everybody wants a piece of their action. Everyone thought 100 laps on Gemini would be tough and it was. 20 is like stopping by for tea and crumpets compared to 100.
Squishy Pants, I don't think it was anything against you, I think that the ride excitement/capacity had something to do with it. Not to mention that the people that may have wanted to do it were still recuperating from the Gemini.
Gemini, Demon Drop, two very different rides. But if anyone wants to do 50, just let me know.
