Have you ridden Demon Drop lately? If so, then you are in a distinct minority. For the past several years...well, ever since they took two trains off of Gemini and imposed a ridiculous loading procedure, anyway...Demon Drop has been the easiest place in the park to experience waitlessness.

I still love everything on Demon Drop until the mechanical transition at the bottom. Ouch!
Speaking of buying rides, and not to get off-topic, the now defunct Erieview Park is having an on site auction of all their rides and properties on October 3rd. I'm planning on going -- not that I want to start my own amusement park (okay, of course I want to start my own amusement park but I'm not made of money) -- but who knows? Maybe if the market is glutted, I could pick up a kiddie ride for a grand or so and put in my back yard.

I love the Demon Drop! Besides, if they remove the ride, what sort of ride could be used to replace it. The area DD covers would require a replacement ride that has a similar foot print...unless they do some major restructuring of the area.
S&S Sky Swatter would be a great fit in that area!!!! :-)

Move it to frontier town, enclose it and theme it to an abandon mine shaft.
I actually really like that idea! It could pretty cheaply be "themed", there's tons of room, and the sensation of dropping straight down in utter darkness would be pretty cool! Not saying it'll ever happen, but I like the idea.
Take care and God bless!
