Ok I have seen things all over about this ride. That Dolly Parton is getting the ride for her park that the Big Dipper will replace it or that it will simply be scraped. There have been rumors of this rides future since Power Tower opened. First off it really dosn't say welcome to Cedar Point any more and it's somewhat weird that they would keep both PT and DD seeing as how the green tower and DD are so much alike. On the other hand DD is fun and unique. So someone please tell me what is the deal.
Wicked Twister is the child of Mean Streak and Gemini. Get it?
^ - I wouldn't say that. It is widely known that it is up for sale, and I'm sure as soon as the park can find a buyer or a better use for the land, it will be gone. That's not to say it won't be sorely missed and that I don't want it to be around for a long time, its just that the evidence says otherwise.

I actually prefer Demon Drop over Power Tower. PT feels too much like a giant bouncing ride. Demon Drop is suspenseful from the minute it takes you up slowly to the top, to when it slowly pushes you forward, and you actually have an intimidating fall due to the fact that it just lets you free fall. But on the drop side of power tower you hear all of the compressed air going and it's totally predictable. Demon Drop has the mechanic drop sound and then you get some G's on your back and it's a crazy ride. I'm not trying to give a detailed description of how the rides work, but these are just some of the things I notice when riding the two rides, and I really hope DD stays at the Point for as long as possible.
TedFuzz. No longer manually signing posts. Too bad. =(

Why cant they move it? It doesnt take up that much room. As good as CP is with moving rides around to make more space; I'm sure they could fit it in somewher in FT. They could theme it to look like a mine shaft ad some fire or something exciting before you drop and it would be an amazing ride.
Where they would put it I have no idea, but CP could find a way.
Let's Get Weird.
Apparently it requires quite a bit of maintenance. Who knows if they would of even kept it this long if they hadn't gotten the spare parts from Mr. Hyde's Nasty Fall. That one was also for sale, but they gave up on selling that it, parted it out for Demon Drop and scrapped the rest.
