Dan the Man!

Missy, this was on the show "More Top Ten Coasters", that aired on the Discovery Channel on Monday night. Magnum was the #1 steel coaster and they had Dan do commentary while riding it. I'm not sure on the next time it will air...

Great job Dan! Way better job than the other descriptions on the show. Your story is sort of like mine escept it happened in 1994. I was basically afraid of "big" coasters and on the last day on our last ride of the trip, I was forced on Magnum and it has changed my life!

Finally got around to watching the show today (had to tape it) and the Magnum segment comes on and there's Dan. I said "That's Dan!" My husband looked at me funny and said "Who's Dan?" I said "That guy was Dan from GTTP, he did 70 laps in one day on Magnum a few weeks ago." My husband just kept looking at me like I was crazy. Way to go Dan, you did a great job.

Scott Short on TV, Raptor Jo on front page of paper, Magnum Dan (Nat too!) proudly on tv.
I think us GTTP'ers should be very proud this month!! :)
(I know my head still hasnt shrunk down to its normal size yet-did I mention that I was Raptor Jo? ;))

Dan the Man was on Discovery again last night! I watched it, and it made me realize how bad I want to go back to Cedar Point. I saw Nat back there in the 2nd car too, looking stunning as ever.

The next time I'm on the midway with a group of friends I'm going to spot Dan somewhere in the crowd. I'm going to point and yell "Look, there he is, it's Magnum Dan from that TV show!" (Just kidding, Dan - I'll try to be slightly more subtle than that!)

Hey Raptor Dave-I think Dan hears that ALOT! When he and I spot each other @ CP its an ongoing "skit" that I po!nt and him and say "arent you Magnum Dan from tv?" and he says "arent you Raptor Jo from the newspaper?"
Im not sure how Dan feels about it...

For those who have missed Magnum Dan (and Natalie) featured on "More Top Ten Coasters", you can check it out again next Sunday, July 8th, at 8pm and again at Midnight.

BTW when I watched it the other night I finally realized that you were sitting in the ejector seat Dan... that's awesome. Did you have to bargain with them to let you sit there instead of front, or what?

Well Jo and Dan, this should make your heads a little bigger... ;) When I was at CP on June 25th, I asked a few ride ops at Raptor if they have seen "RaptorJo" at all today, and the same with Magnum and "MagnumDan". Didn't get to say hi to you guys though...

Jo...I asked the DJ in Raptor (I forget his name) if he had seen you at all that day, and he was like, "Oh you mean the old DJ from here?", and I was like, "no forget it..." :) That guy needs a reality check! Does he get the newspaper?!?! ;)
