miss maverick hit it right on the dot! It is so hard to load properly when people a) don't follow directions and b) take a long time with loose articles or try to ride with them. If someone gets on the ride and pulls down a harness with a purse on, the ride host has to let them out to put it in the box. This all takes time! When people sit down they have to unlock the row...there are people who bounce and the seat gets locked too high and they have to fix that too.
Capacity is difficult on mantis while still maintaining a safe ride location. Personally, I would rather the crew make sure all riders are safe (even those who don't listen) instead of sending out questionable trains.
my 2 cents.
Mantis (and Raptor/Wildcat) - 2006
Mantis ATL - 2007
We rode Mantis twice yesterday. In the morning, it was pretty smooth. But, we mistakingly rode it again in the early evening and it killed our heads. The queue for most of the day was two hours.
Just a quick Mantis question
When is the best place for the restraint? AKA Ballbuster
I rode it last year, and I though I couldn't make any kids, and this year it wasn't as bad, since I rode in the front. Is there a magic spot for that part of the restraint?
Thanks
BTW, would mantis still be as fun if converted into a floorless?

It would be amaaaazing. I'd definitely start riding it again. I doubt it will ever happen though. But I can dream!
