Crowds on opening weekend

This is the first year I'm planning on going for opening day, and on top of that I didn't make it to CP last year. What are the crowds typically like for opening day, is it super busy or about what you would expect for a time when kids are still in school? I've typically gone on weekdays (Tuesdays) in June and July before.
