Have you ever came up with a creative excuse to skip work or school to go to Cedar Point?
Once, I used the excuse, "my power is out and I have to wait for Detroit Edison to come fix it".
Yeah, that only worked for the first 3 days.
Never needed one. Everyone was understanding of my obsession and didn’t mind me taking off a day or two;)
I have an appointment for a physical on June 2nd.

Nope, because lying to work and then going to Cedar Point is probably not the smartest thing I could do. Well, at the job I have now, I'm probably going to do it because I hate it and I'm trying to get fired. (while still searching for a new job, so no... I'm not a slacker.)
I have "exaggerated" the time it takes to do stuff so I could go to the gym during the day, but that's about it

Couldn't you quit? That might look better on the ol' resume.
No excuses here - when its time to go, I go. And, I get paid for it! Gotta love those vacation days, eh? :)

One time when I was working afternoons a few family members and I went down. I had every intention of callin in sick around 2 ( 2 hours notice). We went out to our car to eat around 1:45 and found out my mom locked my keys in the truck(there's a story in itself there). So I then called in with car problems and figured I wasn't lying.

LOL.
No, sorry, I am paying $7,500 PER SEMESTER to be in school and I love my job too much to ditch it for a park that will be there any day. ;)

While that's true - they burn through people here like crazy so it won't really reflect bad on me. Also if I get fired while I'm in the search process, I get unemployment. If I quit, I don't.
I have an interview on Monday, though :-)

I don't need an excuse. When its early May and I'm not in school, everyone already knows where I'm at.
I take the day off for work. I need the job more than a coaster ride.

One time my boss and I got into a fight about work. Well the next day I knew it was going to be a busy day since it was Friday and things needed to be done. Well I went to CP and around 1pm I called in and talk to my boss.
Me: Yeah I'm not going to be in today.
Him: Why whats wrong? I need you here.
Me: Well that will be kinda hard to get there on time.
Him: Why? Where are you at? Thats alot of noise there.
Me: Well, I'm in line for MF and thats a 3 hr wait. Plus driving back to get to work will take 2 hrs. So yeah I won't be in till Monday, have a nice one.
Him: M*therf--ker.........CLICK!
No, never got fired nor a write up.

.....speaking of Raptor
When I was working at the go-karts in CP in '02, I was supposed to start work at 8:00 a.m., but I called into work with the perfect excuse. I was picked to be in a photo shoot for Raptor. Actually, I think it was a commercial, but we got paid for it. So, it was nice! I think we rode the ride like 15 consecutive times.
I'll just go when I get a day off work. Once a kid at my work called in for his 4:00pm shift at about 11:00am. He decided to call before he got on a ride but his supervisor heard "Please keep all arms and legs inside the ride at all times." Needless to say that made for an interesting call off and a write up. =P
