Crazy stories of being stuck on any ride

I wanna know what's the most interesting or craziest story you have from being stuck on any ride or roller coaster at cedar point when it had mechanical problems or any reason.

I've never experienced it on any ride but I would think the craziest would be being stuck on the top of TTD.

The most memorable time for me was in the middle of summer about 5 years ago. Me and my Aunt were on the space point and it was 105 degrees we were facing towards the sun at the very top we were up there for about 20 minutes. Not to mention i had to pee.

RIP DEMON DROP I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU

I got stuck in the brake run on Corkscrew during a sleet storm. Won't go on that ride again until the seat belt problem is fixed.

Goodbye MrScott

John

I won't go on Corkscrew again until Corkscrew itself is fixed...

Me and the ole lady (at the time) where on a MF ride almost to the top, when it stopped. I'm sitting around for a while like this is cool and ole lady is doing the same. Then it starts to become a bit uncomforatable at the angle.

So we sit and sit and then someone to our right starts asking if we are ok. Scared the **** out of me.I did not know MF had an elevator coming up the lift hill. Till then I always wondered how they got people off.

Anyway, when we got back to the station, they said anyone who wanted to stay on and ride again, could. of course we did to the many, many booooos we endured.

How does someone exactly get out of Millennium Force when the ride is stuck on the lift? I know they only let a couple at a time in the chairlift, but I was just wandering if they clip the rider to the cart or something?

I had to walk down from Demon Drop twice in the summer of '86. Corkscrew was stuck in the middle of lift hill for 45 minutes in '93.

I remember back in 2010, my friend and I went on Iron Dragon just for the heck of it because we passed it and there was no line. So we got on, and it gets stuck. We were sitting there for about 15 minutes, and then I said "It'd be funny if the lift started going *NOW*" and as I said "now," we started our climb to the top of the first lift hill again. It was like magic. Then we got stuck again on the second lift, and I once again somehow magically called when the lift started back up.

I think I have either really good luck or amazing super powers >:)

Riding in the front row on Wicked Twister (first and only time so far) on the hottest day in June this year. We had been through the station four times. On the fifth pass we sped up and the brakes came down. By the time the train stopped, the front car was sitting at 45 degree angle. After about ten minutes they rolled us back into the station where there were a lot of things beeping loudly. They apparently cleared everyone out of the station before they got us back in and couldn't decide if the ride was down or not, for some reason. Luckily, we had a nice view of the beach for the duration!

Frontier Lift roughly 30 years ago, stuck for 45 minutes. We watched the Western Cruise beaver chew down that sapling over and over and over. Back then the lift traveled over wilderness and you could barely see anything else of the park.

Mantis final brake run for what seemed like eternity but probably was only 7 minutes. A cold downpour sprung up halfway through our ride. We're all shivering and yelling, "Let us off!!" The crew had already loaded a train, ready to dispatch, but decided to hold off due to the rain. After a phone call, finally they elected to unload it, cleared the station and rolled us in to disembark and wring out our soaking attire.

I was half way up Magnum when it started raining. Then it got stuck for about ten minutes. Then it started to go again and the rain felt like bullets.

Also was stuck on Mantis for about 15 minutes. Guy pulled out a camera. So uncomfortable.

Let's Get Weird.

X-flight, geauga lake- Me and my friend were stuck laying on our backs and she fell asleep.

Magnum, 2 summers ago- My friend and I were stopped in our train on purpose due to a girl in the front of our train holding up her camera high above her head, so the whole station could see....duh....as this was right after the train pulled out of the station after that little drop hill....

Magnum, same year- My husband and I were stopped near the top of the hill on PURPOSE due to a camera and the ride op came up to yell at the guy with the camera

Iron dragon, last summer- my friend and I were stuck on the brake run at the end, and these two boys in front of us were screaming below at their aunt or mom or whatever and tossing junk out at them from the train, lol

Top thrill dragster, earlier this year- Stuck at the launch at night hoping for a rollback, but we didnt get one : (

Blue streak 2 times- On purpose due to camera halfway up the hill this year.

Adventure express @ KI 2007- My sis and I were stopped on the lift hill at the end of the ride due to mechanical issues, with those creepy tiki guys staring down at us for 45 minutes, lol

yes, I got stuck on alot of rides there.....

It's not a crazy story or anything but this past June my husband and I took our 7 year old and talked him in to going on the blue streak and almost at the top of the hill it stops. One of the workers started walking up the hill and told the girl in front of me she could not pull out her phone, so he took it, geez. My son did not go on another roller coaster.

Geauga Lake (Six Flags at the time): While pulling into the station of Batman (floorless coaster), the train stopped while half was in the station while the other half out. About an hour later, it was decided the train needed to be evacuated. Ride ops went down each row and manually unlocked the restraints and placed a wooden plank over the track since the floor couldn't rise. The procedure took a long time, and I was in the last row. Everyone received free 1 day admission tickets.

Kings Island: Last year Firehawk's train reclined before taking off. Well, the ride went down with my train still on our backs. Even though I was in that position for about 15 minutes, it was uncomfortable and the overhead lights were blinding (it was at night). I had a good laugh because the worker was running bad game on my sister.

A couple years ago, my daughter and I sat on (or more accurately, under) the brake run for Top Gun/Flight Deck at Kings Island. We were out there for a shade over half an hour. Periodically a ride op would come check on the riders and reassure us we hadn't been forgotten.

We didnt get stuck but I took my 7 year old son to CP for the first time in 2003 and his very first coaster was the Blue Streak (I figured this was mild, harmless and not so scary) Well as we took off, the seatbelt somehow came unfastened (not sure how in the WORLD this happened) I tried yelling to someone as we passed them on the way out of the station but they did not hear us so started to panic a bit and I just took it and tied it as fast and tight as I could before we went down the first hill and since the lap bars were not so tight on his lap he was screaming and crying (I think you come up out of your seat a lot as it is on this ride!) I knew he was fine, it was tight enough on there that he wasnt going to fall out but I felt horrible for taking him on that and figured omg he isnt going to ride anything else now!! They shut the ride down for a few hours after I informed them and I think they have changed the seatbelts now but we have never ridden it since! He did end up riding other rollercoasters thank goodness! Now his favorite is the Magnum!

Of course, they ran BS without seat belts for decades, and astonishingly, not one solitary person fell out.
