Is it possible to hide somewhere in the park after it closes so you don't have to pay to get in the next day?
Crazy question! ;)
Haha, oh wow. It definetly is possible. There are so many places to hide. Hiding under the Magnum stairs/station would be a good spot.;)
They do a pretty good sweep before the park closes..but if you can do it, more power to ya ha!
First time to Cedar Point was opening day 2009, 7 hours in line for TTD, 2 rollbacks =)
If time and effort are money, and your compensation is the next day's gate price, then you would essentially be playing the part of a secret agent for less than minimum wage.
However, I did used to think about this while growing up around Kings Island. Those woods are pretty expansive and easy to access from something like White Water Canyon. Cedar Point's geography makes it a little tougher to play Metal Gear: Sandusky.
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.
Do you really think it'd be worth it? I'd imagine you'd be really tired after dodging security all night, would you even get any sleep? I'd much rather lay my butt in a bed and pay $40 next day

Am I the only one who would rather pay admission and have a shower? Maybe it's OCD, but I hate smelling bad, and can't imagine it'd be fun to walk around a park all day without a shower. That's just me though.
Aside from the risk and impracticality, it's fun to ponder this. For one, you would have to take cover prior to the lines being cut off and the security sweeping people to the exits.
If forced to do this, however, I would probably hop the fence somewhere around MF's first overbank, and make my way to the Thunder Canyon area. The safest place would obviously be inside the 'island' of TC, but you'd have to ford the thing to do that. Still, there look to be some mature trees around the area that would be good for hiding, assuming you lay low.
The toughest thing would be to integrate yourself back into the park the next day. Obviously the time between 9 and 10 would be the best to make your move, but in any case, you'd have to be somewhat lucky that an employee doesn't see you hop back onto the path. Without the cover of darkness, a lot of things would have to break your way. Once you get on the frontier trail, you'd be home free.
Of course, you'd have to make travel arrangements with someone so that you didn't leave a car in the parking lot overnight. And we all know that two people can only keep a secret if one of them is dead. ;)

So many cameras in so many places ...
You know that coasters become haunted after parks close, don't you? (SOURCE)

That part is easy. In the soak city lot when you are facing the park you can leave your car in the back left hand corner of the lot closest to the campground. They only allow one car per campsite and any extras have to park there overnight.

Oh come on guys...don't draw attention to this! I've been living in the park the last 15 years. Those winters are so cold, but the savings on admission have been so worth it!
Ghosts at night? Pshh...that's me rustling through the trees as I change hiding places...
Hiding under Magnum is a pretty good spot.
