Craziest Lines

I just recently got back from Cedar Point and got two awesome rides on Maverick. I rode late at night on Tuesday June 19 and the line for Maverick was by far the best wait I have ever had. People were doing the wave and getting it to go the whole length of the line. People were singing college fight songs and just having a really great time. It really made the wait go by quickly. What is some of the craziest or best waits you have ever had while in line?

Rest in Peace MrScott

I know what that's like! I was there to take my sister on Maverick for her first time and it broke down as we were in the wwl building. a group of guys near us started getting us hiped up and me and my sis got to start the wave!! we all tried to get it going throughout the line, but some little families just stood there and didn't do it. they all looked at us like we were crazy. we kept trying to do it again, but then the ride was fixed and the whole line had an uproar of clapping!! it was great!

I forgot to say that we were there on the 8th.

I remember way back when Gemini was the hot spot in the park at night. One side of the line would start yelling "taste great" and the other side would yell "less filling". I remember before the DJ's came, the evening line for Magnum would be like a little party. Sounds like those days are trying to make a come back!

I don't know about craziest, but any MF line with a DJ is almost like a rave at night. :)

When Magnum First opened someone always managed to bring an inflatable beach ball and toss it around the queue. Like Wendy mentioned it was like a party while waiting for Magnum.

I've experienced the beach ball in the Magnum line (WITH a live DJ), and also the "rave" in the MF line. Both are very entertaining and very crazy. The MF line was probably a lot of the reason that I absolutely fell in love with the ride at first. However, I must say that the wildest experience I've ever had was in line for Flight of Fear at Kings Island in its opening year. The turnstiles inside the building were showing the same stupid movie on loop, so everyone was just super annoyed and trying to make the best of it. Everyone was yelling across the room and talking trash about what parts of Cincinnati were better, and when the lights out the place went crazy. It was an absolute blast.

One of my best experiences in line was actually during a long breakdown for TTD in 2003. There were a bunch of people that stuck around through it and we were all yelling back and forth about all kinds of stuff. Everytime they would launch a test train, everyone would cheer it on, and then when it rolled back (most of them did) we would all boo it. MF in its opening year was a lot of fun as well since a lot of people in line had not ridden yet and you had the trains flying by every few minutes getting people excited along with the "rave" going on.

I was in line for Mille a few years ago and the WOO man was a few people infront of us. He got everybody dancing and having fun. I miss the woo man. Does he still come to CP? If he wasnt hired by CP for a entertainer they needed to.

Let's Get Weird.

Now that you mention it, I may remember the whole Gemini thing, but I've never had any line experiences like those. I kind of wish these kind of things happened more often, would make the waits seem much shorter.

Even thought I never saw the WOO man, I now have my own personal version. I kept hearing the "woo" sound after I stopped playing that video. Apparently my parrot thought it was fun too and is now doing it. Great....

I was at the park for my first time last week (6/15-6/16) and I saw the "woo" man while waiting in line for the front seat of Millenium Force.

At first, I was just laughing at him then it started to get annoying. I felt bad for the other single who was riding in the front with him.

I have never had any line experiences like any of these but when i was there on the 7th of June I was in line for the Maverick for the second time that day. It was a bout 7:45 and my friend and i got to the top of the steps right before the station and the ride broke down. About 5 minutes later one of the trains that was sitting outside the station waiting to enter the station moved like a couple inches and everybody was sitting down and they started standing up and cheering and everyone was clapping because one train moved a couple inches. it was soo funny! the ride was broke down for 10 more minutes after that excitement.

"Woo Man"

At first, I was just laughing at him then it started to get annoying. I felt bad for the other single who was riding in the front with him.

Yeah, he's funny at first because you get in line and wonder "hey I wonder if the woo guy from last season is here today and in line". Of course he is, but he does get annoying less than half way through the line. I'll give him credit for getting the crowd going even though he makes a complete idiot of himself.
