Crane in the Main Midway Cam

Just thought I'd let everyone know that there is a crane visible in the edge of the Main Midway Cam. I'm sure its just some kind of maintenance, and I was tempted to wait and see if someone else noticed it and posted that they were removing the skyride to make room for a ride, but decided to go ahead and post.

I'm sure the new ride will come up anyway.

It's actually a lift. There are people in the bucket visible on the cam now. :)

Interesting...I thought about a lift at first, but most Grove equipment (you could see the name on the side), that I had used or seen used are cranes.

Good... maybe they're putting out the rest of the HalloWeekends decorations... ;)

If I'm not mistaken, in years past, I think they've used some of the weekdays in mid-October to remove some of the "extra" cabins from Sky Ride in preparation for winter. (At least, I could swear I remember seeing something similar on the web cam a couple of years ago at this time.)

I could be 100% wrong, though.

I heard they removed a weed in the back of the park...most likely to make room for a 700 foot giant inverted launch coaster......

So the crane/lift is gone... I wonder what they did.

Completely random thought: I used to work maintenance at a golf course and on slow days, we could come up with all kinds of crazy stuff to do for fun. I know CP probably runs a tighter ship than that course did, but I still think it would be great to be a maintenance worker at CP and decide, for no reason at all, to randomly park construction equipment throughout the park, in view of a camera. Then you just sit back and watch people like us make all kinds of crazy assumptions.

They don't need to do that for you guys to make crazy assumptions. There could be a change in tempurature and you could think that Cedar Point is going to start with a ride.

C'mon, people! It's just a crane, what if it were to come over to the camera and take down the camera so no one would be able to see the midway at all............... :)

the sky ride scares the heck outta me. im not scared of heights (--hello, daredevil speaking--) , but im also afraid of ferris wheels. i have no clue why..oh well.
