CPS Parking Lot?

I've heard mixed reports over whether the CPS parking lot is open yet this season. Can anybody shed some light on this? I'm making my first trip to the point this year tomorrow, and would rather know before I show up.

Every report I've heard says the lot is open. When CPS opens, they will limit who goes back there and when.

I was there this past Sunday and Monday and parked in CPS lot both days.

Has anybody noticed if the Gemini lot is available again? By about mid June last year the entrance was fenced off and it seemed to be just for maintenance vehicles.

Girl: "l want to ride that yellow one again... Twisted Wicker"
Me: "It's a roller coaster, not a broken clothes hamper."

I got to park in my favorite parking space on opening Sunday (the first unassigned slot on the Gemini side), so yes, the Gemini lot was available just as it wasn’t all last season. The fence posts and rails they used were not permanent so if parking gets tight for the company vehicles we can expect the fence to return without warning.

I parked there yesterday and had no problems.

My main motivation for parking in the Gemini lot was to be able to picnic under the trees, sometimes spread out and actually nap. Are there any other parking spots where there is a nice little spot for this? It seems like all the other spots near grass are nowhere near trees that are free game for sitting under.

And just like that...today the entire Gemini lot is blocked off and mostly empty. I had to park in a closer spot over in the Shores lot instead.
