CP's "facts page"

So I was dorkishly browsing CP's website and came across this next quote on their "facts" page.

"Put The Petal To The Metal – Top Thrill Dragster!"

So, I sent them an e-mail...

"That's a quote from your facts page.

I'm just curious as to what type of flower you use for this?"

How on earth could this make it past the janitor let alone their webmaster? It's pretty blatant to me.

In reality I just found it pretty humerous.

I'm sure they'll get around to changing it but here's the link in the meantime for all that are curious.

They've changed the spelling now.

And Ben, that is indeed the slogan for Xcelerator. But I'm sure you've figured out that with CF, anything can apply to any park. Take for example, the CP shirt with Headspin on the front. Or the Silver Bullet, Hydra, and Xcel footage in the CP commercials.

Not to mention that it's just a common phrase in general...

That's pretty impressive they changed it that fast. Someone must have been up late!

seriously, i average 45-50 down that causeway.... when i worked there, probably 70.

Granted it should have been caught, but some people are just bad at spelling, and no spell checker would have caught that error.

Blame the marketing department. They OK everything before WDD puts it up on the web.

It's easier to blame them than the nerds and artists, anyway. ;)

I saw it right after posting but thought to myself, i'll leave it up there to see who's the first to call me on it.

Loopy, did you receive a response back from CP. If they send one could you please post their response. Hopefully they see the humor in it. :)

Are you all sure it wasn't due to Office's crappy voice dictation programming? ;) Either way, its quite funny that they did that...
