CP Youtube videos

Here are some recently added videos from my 10/21 and 10/22 trip a few weeks ago. Tell me what you think of them!

(General Cedar Point footage from my 10/21-22 trip. No music.)

(Video of Top Thrill Dragster on 10/21 night, and two test runs the next morning. The green train rolled back just before this launch, and I don't know if you can tell from the quality, but the speedometer read 126 mph. They were really kicking up the power to get those trains over that morning. Oh, and I about punched that kid out after I stopped recording in the first scene =]. No music.) *** Edited 11/7/2006 3:51:29 AM UTC by ttdboy111***

Nice videos. How do you get to Battery Park?

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Right before you go onto the Causeway, make a left and then it's on one of the roads to your right. If you look down you can see the Lake and some coaster supports so just drive down that road and you'll be there.

From Cedar Point:

Causeway, right at the first light (First St)
Take that down to the first light. (Sycamore) Make a right. It's on your right next to Damons.

Why does the speedometer go from 122 to 120?

TTD 120mph's avatar

Because the train is slowing down......:)

Or it is just a ploy to confuse the public. That TTD really can't go that fast and they are throwing random numbers up there and the trains make it to the top of the hill by magic!

Time to see who didnt have their sarcasm filter on

^^ I doubt it TTD, there is more than a small handfull of short bus drop-outs running around this forum.

I like your video with no music - nowadays, those are rare to find. It brought back a lot of sweet memories - thanks dude!

Sorry to bring up an older Thread, but instead of making a new one, what my son made fits better here.

My son and I took a morning to just record cedar point. Took some photos, mainly to create a Cedar Point Video. We recorded from 9:45am before the park opened to the public to about 12:30. Then we rode rides in the afternoon.

The cameras we used were point and shoot Canon's with video. I think mine is a Canon Powershot 830, and my son's is a Canon Powershot 470.

Pretty good little cameras. He used a tripod for most of the footage, I just held mine in my hand. His video uses both of our recordings.

The night time photos were from opening day 2009.

Take a look at them, He really wants some input on how he did, He's 16 years old, and Cedar Point is his passion.

Thanks.

GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.

That was a great video! You guys did some great shots! That will be cool to watch in the middle of winter when we are stuck in our houses!

Hay I've also made some CP videos from my trips, non of them have music, just pure park sounds. Only one has music, my Raptor Fly with me.

Great Video. Needs more Blue Streak, though. And maybe some cowbell. :)

This Isn't A Hospital--It's An Insane Asylum!

PB-Reader, that video your son made is really cool and like others said, it does have some very cool shots. Also, the music and sense of timing to the soundtrack on the transitions is not bad either. (Your son's passion shows well.)

While I agree it would have been nice to see Blue Streak, I understand how it is hard to get good shots of it in action from inside the park (you have to go out by the marina gate and over to the marina parking lot and even then you have the traffic on perimeter road to deal with).

Also it would be nice to get some shots of Gemini and Magnum.
Oh and if you want a good shot off-Point from across the bay, go to Battery Park like some have said already on this thread or try the city park a few blocks away on the water (turn left at the end of Sycamore next to Damons toward downtown) -- the park will be up a block or 2 on the right just past the yacht club.
To add to that, Sycamore will give you from that area effectively a straight shot back out to US6 and US250.

Very nice PB reader! Tell your son to keep up the good work. Great quality for too for some powershots. I have a Powershot A560 so now I'm a little excited to see how my videos might turn out. I've never made any music vids with it yet but I'll be trying it out soon for sure.:)

Thank you for all your positive feedback. We just took a trip to King Island yesterday, and we got a few photos and videos from that trip. He hasn't figured out what song he wants to use, but he wants to try a make a Kings Island video too.

By the way, we got 2 rides on Diamondback. Our 1st ride, we got placed in the Front Seat. Nice ride overall, but our 2nd ride, I was up against the lap bar more than I was sitting on the seat. Awesome! :)
