CP Website

For the past month when I go into the CP website it has been laggy. It takes me a few minutes just to get to the blog. The weird thing is, that the site loads just fine but when you go to click something it takes 20 seconds for anything to happen. On top of that once you get to another part of the site this lag seems to go down a bit. Along with the site working sometimes the site will load like above but will totally lock up and I will have to exit out of it using ctrl-alt-delete.

Does anyone else have this issue? I have cable Internet and this doesn't happen on any other sites.

you could try turning most or all of the options off on the bar at the top of the page, but you really shouldn't have a problem especialy if you have a cable connection.

A weeks back the site was going very slow, but it hasn't given me any problems since then.

I have these problems to and, even though this may sound weird, I found that if you go to cedarfair's website and click on the CP link it works just fine. I even have a great computer and cable internet connection and it just doesn't work any other way for me.

^ Thanks man, it works great that way. Still I don't understand how though.

I had the same problem since they changed the site to its winter theme. Access from Cedar Fair's site works like a charm! Awesome.

I am experiencing no problems at all with the Cedar Point website.

Sounds like you have a bunch of crap (either spyware or other assorted garbage) installed on your computer because I can access everything just fine. But then again im not running Windows :)

Heh. Ben, Mac or Linux? And if Linux, what distro?

Ontopic, the site works just fine for me in Windows XP (Home), and also on my Ubuntu box.

Linux, Slackware.

Yeah but why would it happen on just one site and why would it work from cedarfair's web site?

The exact same thing happened to me CP4eva, right when they changed it to the winter scene at the top with the snow it was slow when I went on it and even for the tab to pop out to click on OnPoint or webcams took forever. When I access is from Cedar Fair it's fine. Also around the same time videos, like from ebaums world or Cedar Point videos take forever to load. I don't know what happened. I defraged my computer a while ago and downloaded Ad Aware and cleaned up my system but still have the same problem.

zoom zoom zoom Firefox 1.5.

^ I don't think Firefox would change anything. But could it affect one site?

It's working perfect for me and I have Windows XP Media Edition running wirelessly.

I just accessed it from Cedar Fair's site and didn't ask questions. After a while, it fixed itself.

Arguing with a coaster enthusiast is like wrestling with a pig in mud. After a while, you realize the pig enjoys it.
