CP webcams

I've been dissapointed they've been down for 'maintenance' for so long. I am hoping that at least the one at the Sky Ride is up and running for opening day. Ensign and I were thinking about getting some of the OD group together at a certain time in front of it and wave to everyone here that couldn't go. Anyone have any updates or status about their webcams?

The latest word is that they're being maintained.

Chances are, they are being moved to the proper places for the year. They often choose new places to post the cameras.

I have to think we won't see them up until opening day.

If they do end up changing the webcams Im hoping they put one near Maverick. I near payed much attention to them but someone said they turn them off a few weeks before opening. Not sure if its true or not. *** Edited 5/4/2007 6:14:00 PM UTC by cmkbabie***

I know it has a period and a capital, but I still don't think its a sentence. Or at least I don't understand what the point you were attempting to get across was supposed to be.

If I knew someone here well enough that isn't going to be there OD I'd give my cell number just so they could call me with locations as viewed on CPs site that day so we could do it. Bummer. 25-30 people waving to everyone here at the same time would be kinda fun. Dorky, but... fun.

Maybe they are installing some real-time cameras that refresh every second or two... that would be sweet

There's a RealPlayer camera that runs out of a second floor window by Snoopy Boutique. Its streamed through www.cleveland.com.

i thought T&T said that will not be running til opening day in an update.

T&T's recent update that mentioned the webcams said they it would opening day-at least- until they're back up. They never (to my knowledge) revealed the spots that fans had nominated either, so they are probably relocating/updating them.

lol Mrs. Brit. I'm in for the wave to the web cam gathering... Two years ago when we were going to CP we would tell our friends to check out the Maxair web cam because everytime we were around there we would pause in front of it. Sometimes we would wave and I'm sure most people were wondering what we were doing and thought we were weird. Well, actually, they may be right....lol

So now after lunch we can all go together and do "The Web Cam Wave" and then go to a coaster and ride together in memory of Mr. Scott. What do you think?

I think we should do the thing where everybody holds up a letter so that a giant sign is spelled out. It could say, "Hi, Mr. Scott!" I'm sure he will be looking in.
